There is an attempt on Pope Frances in 2016-Bishop Ajose

                                                           Pope Francis

THE Presiding Bishop of the Prophetic Prayer Ministries International and Prayer Director of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Lagos Chapter, Bishop Dr. Theophilus Taiwo Ajose, has warned Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari, to thread cautiously as there may be an impeachment move against him this year.
Bishop Ajose maintained that although the move will take place in the second half of the year, the president will, however, surely survive it.
The cleric, however, advised the president to pray against ill health and wrong medication that may affect his body systems.
Bishop Ajose also warned Vice President Yemi Osinbajo to be careful as there may be a plot to poison him.
Ajose, who disclosed these in Lagos through a statement he issued after a 40-day prayer and fasting, also stated that there will be a major breakthrough in the world in the cure of cancer, even as he called on political and religious leaders to be careful and pray against major air and road mishaps this year, urging them to live holy lives.
He stated that a new rebel group will rise up in Nigeria this year, which will work in alliance with “some wicked nations.”, but he assured that
“Nigeria will not break up, but the leaders must follow the path of righteousness and holiness.”
Ajose also predicted that there will be civil disorder over the poor state of Nigerian economy in the first half of the year, even as he warned the Lagos State governor Akinwunmi Ambode, against bereavement and ill health, advising him to re-arrange his security network.
Also, Ajose urged former President Goodluck Jonathan, to pray against bereavement within the year, even as he predicted that a new political party will also be formed.
He said: “The enemy has planned social unrest for Nigeria in the first and third quarter of 2016, but there shall be angelic intervention to scatter them.
“From February to June, 2016, evil political powers will incite the people against the government of Nigeria. The government needs divine wisdom to handle political situations in 2016.
The cleric also warned the ruling party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), of an imminent crisis as a faction shall emerge within it in the first half of the year.
On the international scene, Ajose urged the Catholic communities all over the world to pray fervently for the Pontiff, Pope Frances, as warning of an attempt on his life and ill health that may threaten his reign.
He further warned: “There will be surprises in the USA elections against political projections. There shall be disorder in the USA election process.
Still on the international scene, he stressed that there will be economic recession in Europe, while
Israel will engage in warfare against an unnamed nation.
“USA should pray against external aggression. There will be violent change of
government in two African countries.
“There will be a confrontation between USA and Israel in 2016, even as there will be early rain in 2016 in the whole world, which may cause disasters in parts of the universe,” he added.
He stressed: “In 2016, for the first time, the powers-that-be at the helm of affairs in the world will openly confess their helplessness over the events and situations that will unfold in the world.
“The  Lordship  of  Jesus  Christ  shall    rise  very  high despite  the  efforts  by  the  unbelieving  world  to  lord  it  over humanity  through  violence,  wars  and  installation  of  satanic prophets at the helm of affairs in governments.”

YOUR INTERNAL BEAUTY

                                                        Written by Pst Sam Oluwatoye

FOCUS VERSE:   1 Timothy 2: 9-10
In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; but (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works.

BIBLE READING:  1 Timothy 2: 1-15

Have you discovered that so many people are always concerned about how they look? Well, I think as humans, it is natural to be concerned about our looks because that is what other people use to judge us when they get to meet us for the first time. As a matter of fact, the Bible says that Prophet Samuel was convinced about Eliab being the chosen King by God when he first met him. However, it has also been discovered that this first impression that people have when they see us for the first time based on looks does not last. No matter how appealing you are at first sight, it will take a lot more than physical appearance to sustain a good impression. Apostle Paul was aware of this and that was why he instructed people using the women as a case study to look beyond external beauty but give more preference to internal beauty.

If you are used to women, you would know how important it always is for them to make their hair, use a lot of facial make-up, ensure that they have a color match on their clothes, shoes and bags, organize their walk and arrange their communication. While all this is very good, we are encouraged to ensure that we do not overdo many of these things as what makes for a beautiful life is beyond the external looks but the internal looks also. Apostle Paul in our devotional today encourages that we should be modest in external looks. This is why I would always encourage people to spend a lot more on their personal development than the way they look outside. Some people can do anything just to acquire what they need for external beauty. As a matter of fact, I have seen some wives fight their husbands over fashion and so many other things that do not last. Thank God for my family because we have certain principles that give preference to internal beauty over external beauty. For example, in my home, my wife and I had agreed long ago that we do not buy family arranged costumes ‘’aso ebi’’. This is because we have discovered that most of such clothes become useless after their use and most times, people have to go an extra mile just because they want to purchase those clothes. Well, it may not be the same in your home but the principle should remain the same and that is to give more preference to internal beauty.

The encouragement this morning is to give preference to character which Apostle Paul calls good works. This is what brings about a more lasting impression of people about you. Your character defines you more than anything else. Don’t be the kind of person who is so handsome or beautiful on the outside but wicked on the inside. Let your inner beauty reflect God. Be kind, nice, friendly, warm, exciting, and loving to people. I pray that we shall all reflect the image of the Almighty God in our lives in Jesus name.

ACTION POINT: Place more priority on a good character than external beauty from now on.

TODAY’S CONFESSION:
1. I reflect the nature and the character of God everywhere I go from today in Jesus name.

2. My life is an example to all those who come in contact with me for good in Jesus name.

3. The blessing of the Lord is evident all around me and everything that concerns me from today in Jesus name.

How WW3 will Begin from Syria

“For 3,000 years a secret code in The Bible has remained hidden. Now it has been unlocked by computer – and it may reveal our future. The code was broken by a distinguished mathematician, and later corroborated by world-famous academics. It foretells events that happened thousands of years after it was incorporated in The Old Testament – from World War 2 to the Gulf War.

The Bible code’s statement that the final battle, Armageddon, could begin in the Middle East with an act of nuclear terrorism seemed all too real.
The word ‘Armageddon’ comes from the last Book of The New Testament, in a verse that seems fanciful: ‘The spirits of devils, working miracles, go forth unto the kings of the Earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the Battle of that Great Day of God Almighty.”
And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.’
But Armageddon is a real place. It is the Greek name for an ancient city in Israel, Megiddo. In Hebrew, ‘Mount Megiddo’ is ‘Harmegiddo’.
Armageddon’ is encoded in The Bible with the name of Syria’s leader, Hafez Asad. In fact, the name of the actual site of the long-prophesied Final Battle appears with his name in a single skip sequence: Armageddon, Asad holocaust.’ ‘Syria’ is encoded with ‘world war’. It is the country that stands out, because it is not expected*. ‘Russia’ and ‘China’ and ‘USA’ also appear with ‘world war’ but they are the three superpowers most likely to be involved. Syria is the surprise.
If Armageddon is real, it may begin the way it is prophesied in the plain text of The Bible (in Revelation 9:13 And the sixth angel sounded, and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God,
9:14 Saying to the sixth angel which had the trumpet, Loose the four angels
[Turkey, Syria, Iraq and Iran] which are bound in the great River Euphrates.
9:15 And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for The Hour, and The Day, (the month, and the year) for to slay the third part of men.
9:16 And the number of the army of the horsemen [were] two hundred thousand thousand (200,000,000): and I HEARD the number of them.

The last Book of the New Testament predicts a final war of unprecedented fury: ‘Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, and shall go out to deceive the nations in the four quarters of the Earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle.’
No one knows where the ancient ‘Gog and Magog’ were located (please speak for yourself Mr. Drosnin. They are Mesech [Moscow] and Tubal [Tobolsk] – JAH). But the original prophecy of the final Battle, told in Ezekiel, is that Israel will be invaded from the North. The only modern enemy north of Israel is Syria (and then Russia – Revelation*).
* Rev. 16:12 And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great River Euphrates; and the “water” thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the East (eastern block) might be prepared.
‘Syria’ is encoded in Ezekiel, starting in the verse that predicts the invasion. Syria’s allies are named: ‘Persia’ and ‘Phut’ – countries that are now called Iran and Libya.
The plain text of Ezekiel predicts a terrible battle between Israel and the surrounding Arab nations. According to The Bible code, that is how World War 3 might begin – with an atomic attack on Jerusalem, followed by an invasion of Israel...”

Jewish Museum to open in Lisbon,Portugal

According to the Lisbon council, the museum will open in the Alfama area of Lisbon, in the São Miguel square, during the first half of 2017.
The architectural project has already been chosen for the building, as has the management model for the institution.
In a written response to Lusa News Agency the Town Hall said the site was chosen for being “symbolic for the Jewish community and for the city of Lisbon itself, in that the neighbourhood harboured the largest community of Jews of medieval Lisbon.”
The statement recalls that the current project dates back to the term as mayor of João Soares, who is now minister of culture in the government led by António Costa, one of his successors as mayor and the predecessor of the current incumbent, Fernando Medina.
Highlighting the “involvement” of Lisbon’s Jewish community, the council said it was “working with other entities to realise a project focussed on a still little known aspect of the city’s history [that] deserves its own space.”
It is, the statement adds, one of several small themed museums dotted around the city.
Despite having offered rough deadlines for the project, the council refrained from saying exactly when work on the museum would start or from giving estimated budgets.
It stressed the museum “aims to show the importance of the Jewish communities to the history of Lisbon and the country throughout their centuries of existence”, elaborating that the museum “will be a point of reference on a national and international level, in understanding the role of the Jewish in the history of Portugal and the relationships it established, in various periods, with other communities and other powers.”

Armed Robber burnt to death in Ghana

The deceased, name not known, reportedly tried to break into a house at Kromoase, near Agric Nzema in Kumasi to rob the inhabitants.
Reports suggested that the robber’s action during that unholy hour was eventually uncovered by some residents in the neighbourhood.
The suspect, who was said to be wielding a locally manufactured pistol, was overpowered by an angry mob who subjected him to severe beatings.
The alleged robber reportedly became very weak as his constant cry for leniency was swiftly ignored by his blood-thirsty attackers.
The mob dumped the body in a gutter in the area, poured petrol on him and set him on fire, resulting in his death.
Some residents in the area that spoke with our reporters said they were petrified to see the charred body of the alleged robber in the gutter in the morning.
According to them, the armed robber, who had a locally manufactured pistol, doesn’t live in the area.
They claimed the young robber lives in a different area in Kumasi and decided to storm Kromoase to rob people.

Begging - Need or disguised robbery?

The months is gradually coming to an end and as we all know workers are less friendly with money during this time, for you’ve spent all money with you or you are managing the little cash left. It was a situation as the one I just described. I was really down on cash and I was been given a Thousand naira note by a colleague of mine I begged for transport. I had spent part of the money and thinking of using the remainder for transport the next morning to the office. On my way home, I met a heavily pregnant woman with three kids in her lap begging for alms. From my calculations, she should be in her early 20s or even less. I felt very bad for her thinking of how she is coping with such number of children and what manner of man impregnated her four consecutive times without thinking of taking care of his responsibilities. The most annoying thing is that, looking at the children they are just a bit older than themselves and the youngest of them all is still a baby still been breast fed. I did not think twice before I had to part with my money and have to walk half the way home.
On another day, I had to part with the last cash on me but later realized that the beggar I took pity on had more than I could give. For he has been getting money from unsuspecting passerby who took pity on him. I was disappointed to meet him on my way back from work still at that same point and still begging with the same strategy he used on me. I later learnt that is what he does for a living and that he begs at that point every day.

Another situation I still remember vividly is that of a little Hausa boy, maybe 10 or 11 years old, who moves himself begging for alms in the streets of Lagos. He lay, stomach-down, on an old skateboard, and pulls his body along with his arms. He had no legs. He rolled over to me, looked up into my eyes, and asked for money. Struggling not to cry, I reached into my pocket and handed over a Five hundred naira note, more than what I spend on a meal each morning.
I know many of us as fall into one of, similar or the entire scenario mentioned above.
When we come to think of it, giving those cash to the beggars might sound good but it’s among the most destructive things we’ve ever done.
We should not encourage given money to beggars because it does not solve their problem but rather solve their immediate problem. We should not give money to beggars. Not even the cute ones. Not even the disabled ones. Not even the ones who want money for school. Don't give them money, or candy, or whatever. It's not generous. In fact, it's one of the most harmful—and selfish—things a well-meaning person can do.
Don’t get me wrong, I am not saying we should not help beggars or that all people begging are not really in need of what they beg for. I am trying to caution us on how and what we give to beggars or better put a better way to help them.
The impulse to share our blessings with people we meet is a wonderful and compassionate thing. But there are better ways to give. Established non-governmental organizations can ensure that charitable donations go to effective, sustainable projects, and they know how to implement positive change in minimally disruptive ways. Although none of this could help if we are confronted with heartbreaking poverty and suffering, right? It feels cruel and heartless to look a needy child in the eyes and, as many guidebooks suggest, “say no in a loud, firm voice. So we can’t say no and we absolutely cannot say yes. What can we say?
Instead of dishing out cash, buy someone food or a cup of tea if you wish and, best of all, if you think they have no roof over their head, contact local homelessness organizations
Try and ask questions as for the reason for the money to be giving. Pay for or buy the exact item been asked for. Instead of giving out transport fare, take the person to the bus stop and pay for the transport fare directly to the driver or the bus conductor.
If at all you want to help with money, give it to a relevant charity organization. You find beggars unpleasant as well as concerning.
Whatever, the message is the same, wherever you live. Don't give money to street beggars. Help them instead. Be generous: Leave those coins in your pocket. Together we will build a better Nigeria.

FORGIVENESS:THE STEP TO EMOTIONAL HEALING

Forgiveness is the intentional and voluntary process by which a victim undergoes a change in feelings and attitude regarding an offense, lets go of negative emotions such as vengefulness, with an increased ability to wish the offender well. When you forgive someone, you make the choice to give up your desire for revenge  and feelings of resentment. You also stop judging the person who caused you the hurt.Instead of revenge, resentment, and judgment, you show compassion, and kindness.
Unforgiveness is not like that.it is a spiritual cancer that spreads slowly until it incapacitate the spirit, soul and body and may lead to untimely death of d person.it is contagious.unforgiveness gradually leads to anger, hatred and bitterness, until d person becomes a witch or wizard.if u don't obey God's word concerning forgiving those that have hurt u,it is rebellion against God's word, and rebellion is as d sin of witchcraft,so u r a witch.forgive and move on,don't dwell in d hurt of the past because unforgivness is a spiritual killer disease.

STEPS TO EMOTIONAL HEALING
A wound is so painful that we develop a case of amnesia, that is why if anyone has offended you in the past, forgive and move on.
Before we begin, I want you to know that God desires to heal our wounds and take our pain and hurt from us. You know how you can love somebody so much, that you wish you could take their pain or suffering from them? That's how Jesus feels about us... He loves us so much that He paid the price for our emotional healing in the work on the cross!
first and moremost:
The first step is to ACKNOWLEDGE the need for healing. For us to receive the healing of emotional wounds, we must first acknowledge that we are hurting (Matthew 9:10-13, Revelation 3:17). Many of us have lied to ourselves as well as to others.
The second step is to LOCATE the cause of the pain. In the physical realm, we may have a pain in our legs, but the cause may be a pinched nerve in the spine. To operate on the legs would be the wrong procedure so locating the emotional wound is the next step.
The third step is to CLEANSE the wound. For cleansing to occur, (1) we must forgive those who have offended us, (2) ask God for to forgive and cleanse us (I John 1:9) for our unforgiveness, (3) yield that area unto the Lord, (4) request that God restore our soul (Psalm 23:3) in the area yielded to the enemy, and (5) use the name of Jesus to drive out the enemy.
The fourth step is to RECEIVE HEALING of the hurt. God gives us two distinct pictures of healing in Scripture.
After the physician cleanses the victim's wound, he sews it up so that it will not become contaminated again. Forgiveness opens the door to freedom, but forgiveness is not healing. Without our receiving healing, the wound again becomes contaminated. However, when God mends the wound, He also heals the wound.

We may receive healing by (1) understanding that Jesus suffered all kinds of emotional hurts (Isaiah 53:3) and that he became a hurt substitute (Isaiah 53:4) for us , and (2) believing that Jesus was sent to heal the broken hearted (Luke 4:18), and (3) asking in faith for that healing. When God heals the wound, we may recall the experience without being flooded by the pain.
The fifth step is to STRENGTHEN the weak area. Again, in the physical, the area around the wound may remain weak even after the healing occurs. This is also true of emotional wounds. The enemy will try to get us to focus our thoughts (II Corinthians 10:4-5) on the event that brought the hurt. If this occurs, we may mentally pick at the area until we have opened a new wound.
Therefore, it is critical that we strengthen that area by applying the Word of God. (1) We need to see that God had a purpose in allowing us to be wounded (Genesis. 50:20). (2) We need to see that God can work all things together for our good (Romans 8:28). (3) We need to come to rejoice in the Lord over the experience (Philippians. 4:4). (4) We need to develop and share our testimony with others (Revelation 12:11).
I remain yours

True Story Of Nigeria’s Most Notorious,Lawrence Anini

Nigeria has recorded two types of armed robbers: Lawrence Nomanyagbon Anini and others. No armed robber has ever held the entire country on ransom as Anini. In fact, his reign was so bloody that he was even discussed at the State Security Council meeting. He held the old Bendel State captive in the 1980s. Bendel is now known as Edo and Delta State. His main area of operation was Benin City to be precise. His early life Anini was born in a village about 20 miles from Benin City in present-day Edo State. He was dreadfully called ‘
The Law’ or ‘Ovbigbo’. An only son of his Evbueisi-born mother, he had two sisters. His father died when he was still a young boy. Anini was brought to Benin where he was admitted at the Oza Primary School but from a young age, he started manifesting the signs of truancy. He struggled to finish his primary school then entered the Igiedumu Secondary School. He did not spend more than three years when he dropped out of school, preferring to be an apprentice at a local mechanic workshop.
That was around 1976. He started work as a lorry driver (some say taxi driver) after his master fired him and slowly transformed into a leader of the local motor parks, controlling and commanding touts. Following the sudden overthrow of the politicians in the early 1980s and banning of politics in 1984 by the Buhari regime the highly-skilled driver (now of of criminal gangs and godfathers) discovered that armed robbery was far more lucrative and decided to form his own deadly gang which included, Monday Osunbor, Friday Ofege, Henry Ekponwan, Eweka and Alhaji zed zed or Zegezege who was never captured. They started out as car hijackers, bus robbers and bank thieves. He sealed a pact with corrupt police officers and ruled with reckless abandon. The complicity of the police is believed to have triggered Anini’s reign of terror in 1986.Highway robberies, car j******s, bank raids, Anini was a specialist in all aspects of pilfering with the gun. Gradually, he extended his criminal acts to other towns and cities far north and east of Benin. In early 1986, two members of his gang were tried and prosecuted against an earlier under-the-table ‘agreement’ with the police to destroy evidence against the gang members.
The incident, and Anini’s view of police betrayal, is believed to have spurred retaliatory actions by Anini. In August, 1986, a fatal bank robbery linked to Anini was reported in which a police officer and others were killed. That same month, two officers on duty were shot at a barricade while trying to stop Anini’s car. During a span of three months, he was known to have killed nine police officers. In an operation in August of 1986, the Anini team struck at First Bank, Sabongida-Ora, where they carted away N2, 000. But although the amount stolen was seen as chicken feed, they left the scene with a trail of blood. Many persons were killed. On September 6, same year, the Anini gang snatched a Peugeot 504 car from Albert Otoe, the driver of an Assistant Inspector General of Police, Christopher Omeben. In snatching the car, they killed the driver and went to hide his corpse somewhere. Three months later, the skeleton of the driver was spotted 16 kilometers away from Benin, along the Benin-Agbor highway. A day after this attack, Anini, operating in a Passat car believed to have been stolen, also effected the snatching of another Peugeot 504 car near the former FEDECO office, in Benin.
Two days after, the Anini men killed two policemen in Orhiowon Local Government Area of the state. Still in that month, three different robbery attacks, all pointing to Anini’s involvement, took place. A day after the operation, Anini, visited a village near Benin and threw wads of naira notes on the ground for free pick by market men and women. Between August and December 1986, he led a four-month reign of terror. He also reportedly wrote numerous letters to media houses using political tones of Robin Hood-like words, to describe his criminal acts. The search for Anini.
The then military President, General Ibrahim Babangida, saw the nation’s fear for the daredevil and ordered a massive manhunt for the kingpin and his fellow robbers. The police thus went after them, combing every part of Bendel State where they were reportedly operating and living However, the more they were hunted, the more intensified their activities became. Some of the locals in the area even began to tell stories of their invincibility and for a while, it felt like they were never going to be caught. At the conclusion of a meeting of the Armed Forces Ruling Council in October 1986, General Babangida turned to the Inspector-General of Police, Etim Inyang, and asked, ‘My friend, where is Anini?’
At about this time, Nigerian newspapers and journals were also publishing various reports and editorials on the ‘Anini Challenge’, the ‘Anini Saga’, the ‘Anini Factor’, ‘Lawrence Anini – the Man, the Myth’, ‘Anini, Jack the Ripper’, and ‘Lawrence Anini: A Robin Hood in Bendel’. The Guardian asked, emphatically, in one of its reports: ‘Will they ever find Anini, “The Law”?’ His arrest
The Anini terrror finally came to an end thanks to the courage of Superintendent of Police, Kayode Uanreroro. On December 3, 1986, Uanreroro caught Anini at No 26, Oyemwosa Street, opposite Iguodala Primary School, Benin City, in company with six women. Acting on a tip-off from the locals, the policeman went straight to the house where Anini was hiding and apprehended him with very little resistance. Uanreroro led a crack 10-man team to the house, knocked on the door of the room, and Anini himself, clad in underpants, opened the door.
“Where is Anini?”, the police officer quickly enquired. Dazed as he was caught off guard and having no escape route, Anini all the same tried to be smart. “Oh, Anini is under the bed in the inner room”. As he said it, he made some moves to walk past Uanreroro and his team. In the process, he shoved and head-butted the police officer but it was an exercise in futility. Uanreroro promptly reached for his gun, stepped hard on Anini’s right toes and shot at his left ankle. Anini surged forward but the policemen took hold of him and put him in a sitting position. They then pumped more bullets into his shot leg and almost severed the ankle from his entire leg. Already, anguished by the excruciating pains, the policemen asked him, “Are you Anini?” And he replied, “My brother, I won’t deceive you; I won’t tell you lie, I’m Anini.” While in the police net, Anini who had poor command of English and could only communicate in pidgin, made a wh*** lot of revelations. He disclosed, for instance that Osunbor, who had been arrested earlier, was his deputy, saying that Osunbor actually shot and wounded the former police boss of the state, Akagbosu.
The daredevil robbers also revealed that some policemen assisted them in the criminal operations in Bendel State and the entire country. Anini particularly revealed that George Iyamu, who was the most senior police officer shielding the robbers, would reveal police secrets to them and then, give them logistic supports such as arms, to carry out robbery operations. Because of the numerous gunshots, Anini had one of his legs amputated in a military hospital. When his hideout was searched, police recovered assorted charms, including the one he usually wore around his waist during “operations”. All charms were disposed after his arrest.
His execution Due to amputation of his leg, Anini was confined to a wheelchair throughout his trial. He was sentenced to death by Justice James Omo-Agege and executed on March 29, 1987.

The forgotten Himba Tribe of Namibia

Visiting the Himba was one of the highlights of our travels, probably as was everyone's who have had a chance to visit them. They are well known for their friendliness, but also the reluctance to get modernised.

The Himba is the famous tribe of ’red people’ in northern Namibia. Women paint themselves twice a day with red clay mixed with butter. They wear short skirts made of goat skins and long red clay covered plaits of hair ending with tassells.
At first it can seem that there are only women in the Himba tribe. Almost all of them are traditionally dressed, proud and beautiful. In contrast, the men usually have adopted western clothes and you don't get to see them much in the villages anyway, because they are often far away with their herds, or (unfortunately) in the pub. They are getting fond of alcohol (just as, for example, the Surma in the Omo Valley) which is now getting in by the newly repaired road. The Himba women are not very happy about such a ’progress’ ...
The villages close to the road from Opuvo to the Epupa Falls receive tourists quite often. But we walked far off the main road to find out what are the Himba really like. We found an excellent guide, a young Himba, who had been sent to school, where he also learned English. He suggested us that it's better to bring some food as a gift when visiting the village rather than giving the Himba money (which the men would drink up anyway).
Women grinding maize
We walked to the village about 10 km away. The people there were really surprised but very pleased when we arrived. When we asked for a permission to spend a night they were completely amazed that Europeans want to stay with them and they immediately began to look for the best possible place for out tent.
Then we sat down with a group of women resting in the afternoon heat. The chief's wife easily included us into their chat (of course, with the help of our interpreter) which eventually developed into one of the most interesting conversations with indigenous people we have ever experienced.

The conversation went something like this:
she: ”We are very happy that you came to visit us.”
we: ”So are we. Have you ever had any tourists here?”
she: ”Never, you are the first. They only go where they can get by car.
And to get here it's about 10 kilometres on foot, so they never come.”
we: ”And would you like, if more tourists came?”
she: ”Of course, we are also curious about them. But on the other hand
           we also like our peace.”

  A moment of silence ...

she: ”Do you also have cows and goats where you come from?”
   we: ”Yes, We do.”
she: ”And could I be there dressed like this?”

we: (a moment of hard thinking, what to say .....)
”No, you probably couldn't, it's too cold there.”

she: ”Hmm, it's a pity. So I won't go there.
But do you think that it's a good idea to send our kids to school,
so when the drought comes and food is scarce they could support us?
You know, have a job like your guide here ...”
we: (We are not sure it's a good idea, but that's not important. Her thinking
is correct and makes a perfect sense. But how should we answer that?)
”It's an interesting idea, these days it might be the best and only way.
But your culture is also very important ...”
she: ”I know, that's not what I meant, we don't want to change and we won't.
What I meant was only one child from a village.”
we: (Now she got me, I am almost speechless): ”Most definitely, because than
you would be better prepared when the inevitable changes come .....”

we: ”How do you perceive the changes that are already happening,
such as a new road, tourists and the campsites for them, new pubs
and your men in them, drinking .....?”
she: ”We don't like that at all, it's a big problem.
But what can we do? We'll deal with it.”

Himba girls dancing in the evening
This was followed with a moments of silence, we all had something to think about. Then she apologised that she had to tend the cows and that it's the time to start getting ready for the night. After dinner the young girls offered to dance for us. It was very beautiful.
For the whole time spent with the Himba, nobody asked us to pay anything, not even for photographing them. They were all really pleased that we came to see them and that we were genuinely interested in them. But we've brought them about 15kg of food, as our guide suggested. This surprised them, they didn't expect anything from us; but they couldn't ask us to carry it those 10 kilometres back ...!

UAE anti-terror centre launches campaign

A joint anti-terror initiative by the UAE and the United States is using a hashtag as another weapon in its online fight against extremism.
The Sawab Centre launched the #DeludedFollowers Campaign on its Twitter and Instagram accounts with the aim of shedding light on ISIL’s recruiting methods.
The campaign hopes to expose ISIL enlisting tactics such as portraying the Iraqi and Syrian conflicts as a war of civilisations between Islam and the West, alleging the mistreatment of Muslims around the world, distorting Islamic terminology and spreading disunity among people and their leaders.
Through these methods, the centre said, ISIL targets those who feel desperate, are on the margins of society, and impacted by chaotic and unpredictable social and economic conditions.
New recruits are exploited and mistreated by the organisation and often put on the front lines of the conflict, according to numerous official reports.
