Pope Francis calls for pedophiles to be severely punished

Pope Francis is insisting that pedophiles who abuse children be severely punished.
Speaking to faithful in St. Peter’s Square, he greeted an Italian organization dedicated to fighting child abuse.
Calling pedophilia a “tragedy,” Francis said “we mustn’t tolerate abuses on minors,” adding, “we must defend minors and severely punish the abusers.”
Francis didn’t mention pedophile scandals in the Catholic Church, in which bishops systematically transferred pedophile priests around parishes instead of reporting them to police.
Victims’ groups have demanded Francis punish such bishops.
Italians were recently shocked by the death of a 6-year-old near Naples thrown from the roof of an eight-story building after trying to resist her rapist.
An autopsy showed she suffered chronic sexual abuse. Investigators suspect neighbors knew about the abuse but didn’t tell police.

How united are nigerians?

Image result for igbos, hausas and yorubas
Nigeria is a beautiful place blessed with splendid landscapes, topography, nature, wildlife, languages, dialects and sub-dialects and lots more.
Nigeria is the biggest country in Africa in term of size, nothing but size, for we are still sprawling behind when it comes to technological advancement and development due to what i called "fertile corruption".
Nigeria is also considered by many to be " one of the most religiously inclined" nation of the world, but does Nigeria's size and religiousity result in unity of its heterogenous peoples of diverse backgrounds and cultures? The answer is a big "NO", if our memory spans are too short to remember our yester-years then we are guilty of mnemonic sin. We have resorted to primitivity by engaging ourselves in violence, an imbroglio of ghoulish proportion. We have been propelled by greed for so long a time, zealously adhering to religion devoid of God and love for humanity...
Its barbaric that we are killing our brothers cos of our differences in language and religion and creed, so brazen in our psychotic dare-devilry. The truth remains that there's no other blood - thirsty god other than satan and his rebellious legions that we are serving. If a man who doesn't even believe in the existence of God have cows numbering into thousands and discover that one of his cows is wild and rebellious, killing the rest of the cows, what would become of his owner? Would he put a red scarlet on his mad cow to celebrate his heroic prowess or would he mourn over his lost? The truth is that he would mourn over his lost. Its time for us as individuals to reconsider our past and present actions, doing so in an anthroposentric manner as would be expected of peoples created in the image of God.
Something is still fundementally wrong with nigerians as we are remorsefully pursuing anti-people tendencies, objectives, cloaking them in varying guises at different points in our actions, and this belies the claim of unity and harmony as we are busily engaging ourselves in futility, religiousity, nepotism, tribalism, hatred and ethnocracy.
An age was called "dark age" not because there was no light but because people refuses to see the light, let us illuminate our chequered path with love and tolerance.... Let us not airbrushed history out of our national life, its time to halt our zeal to frogmarch into stone age pattern of not respecting the sanctity of human lives, let us rise in unison to speak against this despicable act of taking lives and speaking cavalierly... As we are umpiring the killing of fellow humans, let us pause for a while to reconsider our actions, let us pause amidst our wanton irresponsibility and religion without God and love for humanity to ask who is that god that delights in human blood that is now irrigating our once peaceful domain. Let us desist from extremism, imbecility, brusqueness, ignorance and religion without respect for the sanctity of human lives, whatever you worship, whether Jehovah, stone, pebble, Allah or whatever you will face judgement for taking lives. Say NO to killing across THE land.
Share this message if you are against tribalism and killing.
