Ese Oruru and the Hypocrisy of Nigerians.

It's been all about Ese Oruru in the last 7 days in Nigeria. The story has it that one Yunusa,a Muslim from Kano state, Northern Nigeria "Kidnapped" Ese,a 14 years old Christian girl, from Bayelsa state Southern Nigeria 6 months ago and took her to Kano where he's been living with her as his lover. Yunusa it is claimed is 18 years old.
Well, let me not bore you with the story of Ese and Yunusa,i'm sure you must have heard a lot of it. I must add that I totally condemn what happened to Ese. She is just 14 and shouldn't be used as anyone's sex toy. I must also add that I doubt Yunusa's age and he should be prosecuted immediately.
What has gotten me puzzled in all of this is the lies peddled against the Kano Emirate council and the demonisation of Northern Nigerians as a whole. How can anyone say it was the Emir of Kano,Sanusi Lamido who was the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria that sent Yunusa to "kidnap"14 years old Ese? Can't we just condemn Yunusa and call for his prosecution without being tribal bigots?
Everyday in Southern Nigeria Baby factories are discovered where girls,Ese's age are constantly impregnated and when they deliver, their babies sold.
I still vividly remember the case of Ahamefula Motherless Babies Home, located in Umuaka, Njaba local council of Imo state, owned by a middle aged woman simply identified as “Madam One Thousand”. In 2013 when commissioner of police Katsina and his men raided the Baby factory it was discovered That over 17 girls aged 14 to 17 were constantly impregnated by a 23 years old man known as "Oyinbo". Some people made a joke of the story and called the 23 years old rapist and sperm donor "Mr Sharp Shooter" the girls were kept in very dark rooms and they were forbidden from making contact with the outside world.
How come when we hear stories of underage girls in Baby factories especially in South east and south South Nigeria we shrug it off and move on as if nothing has happened? If Ese was discovered in a baby factory in any of the states in Southern Nigeria would we make the noise we making now??? I am very surprised to know we have a lot of human rights activists in Nigeria.
Is the present Smear Campaign against Northern Nigeria connected to the defeat of former President Goodluck Jonathan at the polls last year??
If you have a thing or two against Northerners then come out boldly and say it and stop using Ese's case as a cover to play your tribal games.
In the coming weeks more Baby factories will be discovered in states across Southern Nigeria and this tribal, sentimental activists won't say a word.
