Universal Chaplain Corps & Rescue Mission



Universal Chaplain Corps & Rescue Mission was established in 2010 for the purpose of livelihood promotion and brining about a regenerated society. UCCRM is duly registered with Corporate affairs Commission, Federal Republic of Nigeria with Registration no CAC/IT/NO 65043 and also in the Republic of Sierra Leone with Registration No C. F/60/2013.

UCCRM is a member of The Association of West African Chaplain & Care-Givers, Nigeria Network of NGO. UCCRM is in partnership with agencies like National Drug Law and Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), etc.

OUR AREA OF ACTIVITIES
Our sector of activities centered on livelihood promotion, drug prevention, combat ethnic discrimination and religious intolerance, counter abuse of fundamental human right/gender inequality, community development, youth empowerment, leadership training, skill acquisition, career talk, anti-corruption campaign.

A world where all people even in the most remote area of the Nation hold the Power to create opportunity for themselves and attains the right to survival, protection, development and participation.

To work for the upliftment and betterment of our Nation and provide live hood opportunities for deprived people.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES
1.      To carry out rescue mission and emergency services, to victim of disaster, accident, terrorist attack, etc/
2.      To foster inter-religious peace
3.      To provide aide and support for the less privileged, destitute, widow and orphanage.
4.      To ensure free exercise of religion.
5.      To advocate for human right and enhance high morale.
6.      Provide counseling, education and life improvement skill.
7.      Conflict resolution and crises control.
8.      Rehabilitation, reformation and re-integration of drug addict, war victim, militant and ex-combat
9.      We educate the populace to increase the level of awareness on matter such as drug abuse, crime, corruption, road accident, etc.
10.  Develop the morale and well being of our community members.
11.  Campaign against terrorism, lawlessness, domestic violence, gender inequality, child abuse, ethnic discrimination, religious intolerant and corruption.
12.  To contribute to economic empowerment and community development.

CHARACTERISTICS OF THE ORGANIZATION
We have the entire basic infrastructure to achieve the goals and objectives of the organization such as
1.      Hi-tech office, (computer with all the peripherals, high speed broad band internet connection, telephone, official vehicle, audio-visual component, etc.)
2.      We have highly qualified, experienced and professional personnel, who dedicate themselves towards the objectives of the organization.
3.      We insured our staff against any calamity or disaster.
4.      Our Governing board has representation of all the community, tribe and religion.
5.      Our organization believes in transparency at every level of work.
6.      We maintained a computerized up to date record and account.
7.      We have strong network with local and international administration, other NGOs, and government organization.
8.      We have established means of sending information to the populace.
9.      Our organization started it works from grass-root level and then gradually going up to address other groups who will be the beneficiary in the project.
10.  Our organization has affected lives beyond the shore of Nigeria.
11.  We focus on the vision, mission and objective of the organization, and this has made us exceptional among others.
12.  We have a track record of credibility and accountability.

OUR TRACK RECORD
Our organization has successfully executed the following projects in the previous year.
1.      Scholarship grant to students.
2.      Official flag off event of “Say No to Illicit Drug use and Trafficking in Lagos State” in collaboration with National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) on the 21st July, 2015 at Jalisco stadium Oshodi, oshodi Isolo Local Government, Oshodi Lagos state.
3.      Road Safety Awareness Campaign and Flag off of Ember Month Campaign in commemoration of the 2015 National Accident Victims Remembrance week in conjunction with Federal Road Safety Commission, on the 18th November, 2015. ( See Newswatch Times, Wednesday 2nd Dec., 2015, Pg 36 & 37)
4.      Free Medical check up for over 400 commercial drivers of the Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria (RTEAN), Lagos state Chapter on 18th November, 2015 ( See New telegraph, Wednesday 9th Dec., 2015, Pg 22)
5.      Distribution of free exercise book for student in the rural community to encourage education and assist the less privileged children who attend school without books and other necessary writing materials.
6.      Digging of well for rural community who are suffering of lack of good water facility.
7.      Empowerment program for student/youth to encourage self employed and diversification, in reducing household poverty and unemployment in Nigeria.
8.      Campaign against terrorism and advocating for altitudinal change and good moral conduct.
9.      Leadership training and skill acquisitions for youth.
10.  Free medical health program for the aged people.
11.  Distribution of food item, clothes and other basic amenities of lives.
12.  Program on “Empowering Market Women for Economic Development in Lagos State”.
13.  Several programs on religious, political and racial tolerance for National peace.
14.  Several public lecture on “Taking preventive measure against Ebola Virus disease and how to make Nigeria Ebola Free/distribution of over 3,000 sanitizer during the first Ebola outbreak in Nigeria.
15.  Distribution of 55 pieces of IR Thermometer to Hospitals, Health centres and parastatals to test and detect Ebola patient in Nigeria and Sierra Leone.
16.  Programs on effect of Religious intolerance and ethnic discrimination on National Development.
17.  Career talk in secondary schools.
18.  National Prayer summit for the Nation.
19.  Aide and material support for SOS and other orphanage home and less privilege in the society.
20.  Rehabilitation of drug addict.
