Devesh Uba is an Indian-born street photographer who resides
in Lagos, Nigeria.
He Studied Marketing at K J Somaiya Institute of Management Studies and Research in Mumbai,India He provides stunning photos of places in Nigeria and the ‘Naija’ ways of living that we don’t often get to see.
Devesh Uba has been living in Lagos since 2013. He began his
Nigerian stint by single handedly setting up the social and digital
marketing arm at a leading communication agency. He worked with major
Nigerian brands and advised them on using Social Media strategically.
Post the agency, he began social media marketing and consulting for
various brands and business houses. Simultaneously, Devesh created
Nigeria’s leading photo-blog called Snap It Oga! The blog, in just about
a few months was very well received and has featured in The Guardian
(UK), Yahoo!, News 24 (SA), Sahara Reporters, Home Grown (India) and all
major Nigerian blogs and publications.
The blog bears testimony to Devesh’s belief in Social Media and the importance of original and engaging Content. In early 2014, Devesh decided to kickstart his own Social Media Agency with a strong focus on content creation.
Devesh possesses over eight years of experience in both traditional and digital marketing. He is a certified ‘Content Strategist’ from Northwestern University (USA) and he consults several websites on their content creation and distribution.
