The Kano State Hisbah Board has commenced the prosecution of
11 women, who were caught drinking alcohol as well as smoking cannabis.
The women were also accused of engaging in amorous
activities with men, who were not their husbands.
Ironically, there was no report on the arrest of the men,
who engaged in alleged amorous activities with the women
According to reports, Kano state has been practicing the Islamic
legal code, which prohibits such illicit conduct.
