It’s starting to feel more tropical in the city of Lagos,
and that can only mean one thing; it’s time for the Conscious Vibes Africa (the
reggae revival movement).
This monthly reggae gathering celebrates African Icons in
live concert. Plus side attractions like: Palmwine, a DJ Session, Exhibition,
Documentaries, Networking, Interviews, Photo Sessions and Spoken Word.
Headlining the concert this month include the likes of
– Captain Blazee (root reggae artiste).
– Phebean (the undisputed Queen of sax).
– Tonie (Emperor of contemporary reggae).
– Y-Pick (one of Nigeria’s best guitarists).
– Great Mosiah (the Akwa-Ibom best reggae soul act).
– Dezign (one of our best dancehall reggae artiste &
signed under Alter Plate Records by Harrysong).
– Squeeze Tarela (A fast growing reggae/dancehall artiste).
One of the best reggae presenters in the country, Wazobia
FM’s Ratata would be present as well as DJ Genesis, ace comedian Gloria and the
Conscious Reggae Band.
The 21st edition of Conscious Vibes Africa will be
celebrated on the 26th of March 2017, 6pm – 11pm at Freedom Park Lagos (1,
broad street, hospital road. Lagos island).
MISSION: To revive the African indigenous music by
showcasing new reggae acts and to promote the original root/dancehall reggae
culture from Lagos, Nigeria to the International community.
