Nigeria has closed its airport in the capital, Abuja, for
six weeks for runway repairs starting Wednesday, Information Minister Lai
Mohammed said.
All flights will be diverted to the city of Kaduna, roughly
200 kilometres north of Abuja.
Travellers will have to get to the capital by road or rail,
guarded by security personnel, Mohammed said.
