The story of the abducted girls, now the story for the gods

The story of the girls abducted in the beautiful land of Chibok seems to have escaped our subconscious.

My thoughts have been; When will these girls return?

During the campaigns, President Buhari and his team promised to #BringBackOurGirls in 100days as the previous administration was deemed incompetent in this regard.

It is quite appalling that after the emergence of the President, little or no attention have been paid to the rescue of these girls.

The most disappointing action is the way Nigerians politicized the kidnap during the last administration and now, we have all gone quiet like the girls are back.

Their mothers would have thought that these group of people love them, not knowing that they only used them as a means to their own personal ends.

They were also instigated by the power hungry members of the All Progressives Congress to visit media houses crying about their missing children and have now become silent!

If these girls don't return by December as promised by the Buhari government, then competence is also lacking with this government.

In Nigeria today, the rich care about the rich and the poor find a way to survive, if it were to be the daughters of Buhari, Amaechi and tinubu that were abducted, they would obviously would have been found!

Another painful part is that when issues like this arises, we prefer to use it to sell cheap propaganda against one political party instead of fighting this issue as one and proffering possible  solutions.

The campaign to #BringBackOurGirls has become dull, even Mitchell Obama has stopped her advocacy, cyber goats have all gone into extinction.

I urge all well meaning Nigerians to continue this campaign until these girls return to their respective homes or is this now the stories for the gods.

BringBackOurGirls

A secured Nigeria should be our priority.
