German Vice-Chancellor and Energy Minister Sigmar Gabriel
has said that Trump’s victory in the US presidential election is “a
warning to Germany”.
“Trump’s victory is a warning to Germany. I consider him a
pioneer of a new authoritarian and chauvinistic international movement,” the
vice-chancellor said in an interview to Funke media group.
The presidential election was held in the US November 8. Republican
presidential nominee Donald Trump won the election. The newly elected president
will take office on January 20.
