LETTER TO THE NIGERIAN AND AFRICAN YOUTHS
My dear mates,my younger brothers and sisters and my elder brothers and sisters,it is with urgency i am writing this to you, because i have a passion for this nation.Do not get angry or take this personal
The elders use to say that When the monkey leaves the jungle and goes into the ocean to be swimming in the ocean, and the fish too leaves the ocean to now enter into the jungle,to be jumping on tress, then that is destiny suicide.
Recently,i was disciplined and counseled by one of my mentors,so as I write this post, decide your next action.
Do you know that Nigeria and Africa needs us?Many youths of this nation and continent cannot see these goodness in their nations because their mind is clouded by the sadness, bitterness and unforgiveness.but the truth is that we cannot continue to live in the past because one way or the other,we have benefited from the structures of our nation and this is the time that we the youths must now give back to it.Do we really need a revolution in our nation and Africa?then the youths must change their mindset and think forward. Our leaders have failed us,but we as youths of this nation and Africa can change things,we can be responsible and that change must start from you to every other youths.
Look at these statistics and figure out their sense of responsibility towards the Nigerian and African Dream, the ratio is below;
40% of Nigerian and African youths believe in fraud and looting of government funds is their easiest way to wealth (Going into politics for the sake of looting government funds) and other dubious means to wealth.
25% of Nigerian youths and 40% of African youths believe traveling abroad for greener pastures is their easiest way to wealth, thereby causing capital flight so they run out of the country and continent.
20% of Nigerian youths and 30% of African youths believe Education is their easiest way to wealth but at the end of the day, they are disappointed.
10% of Nigerian youths and 20% of Africans Believes a change or rather being employed/ starting out as an entrepreneur is the easiest way to wealth (This group’s ratio soon goes down due to economic sabotage or Lack of Funds to manage the business)
5% of Nigerian youths Believes in the Nigerian Dream while many Africans have an African dream which is 5% also, a dream that one day Nigeria and Africa will have a place for them too (some in this group are graduates, secondary school leavers, creative people, etc) but they have this conviction of the African and Nigerian dream and they ignore all the evil means to wealth and they cleave to the African and Nigerian dream….
In the above listed group, where do you belong as a Nigerian and African youth?
Leadership is not meant to be measured by age but by vision. We have millions of Obamas in Nigeria and Africa but they can’t manifest their dreams because of the current state of the country and continent and leaders who refuse to shift away from the seat of power (The same Old Politician that ruled Africa before) The leaders who see the youth as miscreants that can be used as political thugs, leaders who are suppose to be elders but metamorphosis into political god fathers who remain as top dogs after elections and torment the young and vibrant politicians in power. This is where we need a change because for revolution to take place,we need to change our mentality and not run out of Nigeria and Africa into foreign lands, because Nigeria needs you.Stop shouting change when you are a slave inside your mind.the wine inside you is stinking so don't decieve urself.
When you change your mentality to help and build our nation, you are building a great future for yourself and those around you, even your unborn children.no matter how handsome, good looking, wealthy and talented you are,if you dont contribute to the betterment of your society, irrespective of your person, the society will work against that person.it is like being very rich and healthy but living in a dirty house.sooner or later, the dirts will catch u with him and he may become very sick.Let us wake up to this reality because Nigeria and Africa needs us.
I remain yours

Nigeria @ 55: 5 Reasons Independence Is Worth Celebrating
To many people, Independence Day is not worth celebrating due to a lot of challenges the nation is facing.
A lot of people are wondering why the celebration when there is so much hardship, deadly attacks from insurgents and other security challenges. Recall that it was during the 50th Independence celebration that an explosion occurred just outside Eagle Square, the venue of the grand celebration. Since then, the celebration has been low-key and held inside the Presidential Villa.
It is very glaring that the nation is riddled with high-levels of poverty, corruption, poor governance and insurgency. We are still divided along tribal and ethnic lines and the gap between the rich and poor is getting wider. So, what is worth celebrating you may ask?
1. The people have managed to remain united:
In spite of all these challenges and deficiencies, we have managed to remain one. Nigeria has its own problems just like every other country. For the fact that the nation still exists despite all the damage done to her socially, politically and economically is enough reason to celebrate. We are not at war. We all would not be going about our businesses if there was war. It is only when there is peace that business can thrive.
2. The nation has come a long way:
We have managed to achieve some things as a nation. Any achievement no matter how small is worth celebrating. A lot of us complain that the nation has achieved nothing but that thing we consider ‘nothing’ has gone a long way to making us what we are today. Yes, we all know that most nations have gone ahead of us and we keep making comparisons. One thing we should know is that those nations also have their own challenges. There are also people sleeping on the streets in those nations.
3. There is still hope:
We might not be where we want to be or that major power we hoped to be but there is still hope. The whirlwind of corruption, bad leadership, terrorism and unstable economy has not been able to snuff out that hope. As long as there is life there is hope.
4. Wallowing in self-pity has never helped anybody:
You celebrate your birthday not because you have become the richest man or you don’t have problems. How has all the lamenting and self-pity helped this nation. If we want to see this country change for the better, we must learn to do things differently. Those who think abusing the nation will make things better are only deceiving themselves. After all, you don’t insult your father because he is not one of the richest men.
5. Nigeria still has a few good men and women:
The fact that the leaders have failed the nation does not mean that everybody has failed. There are still some honest and responsible people out there who have not and will not sell their souls for money. There are still people who are making sacrifices for the nation and taking giant strides. You too can be one of them instead of just sitting and complaining. No one will come from outside to build Nigeria, it is your responsibility as her citizen to do your own bit. A lot of people blame the leaders for corruption, but sit down and reflect: are you any better? You still offer bribes, jump queues and beat traffic. The change begins with you.

MARRIAGE-Advice for young men
1. My son, if you keep spending on a woman
and she never asked you if you’re saving or
investing, and she keeps enjoying the attention,
don’t marry her.
2. My son, a woman could be a good wife to
you, some could be a good mother to your
children but if you’ve found a woman like a
mother to you, your children and your family,
please don’t let her go.
3. My son, don’t confine the position of your
wife to the kitchen, where did you get that
from? Even in our days, we had farm-lands
where they worked every morning . . . that was
our office.
4. My son, if I tell you that you’re the head of
the house, don’t look at your pocket; look if you
will see a smile on your wife’s face.
5. My son, if you want to have a long life, let
your wife be in-charge of your salary, it will be
difficult for her to spend it when she’s aware of
the home needs and bills to pay but if it’s in
your care, she will keep you asking even when
all has been spent.
6. My son, don’t ever beat your woman, the
pain in her body is nothing to be compared to
the wound on her heart and that means you
may be in trouble living with a wounded
woman.
7. My son, now that you’re married, if you live a
bachelor kind of life with your wife, you will
soon be single again.
8. My son, in our days, we had many wives and
many children because of our large farm-lands
and many harvests, there are hardly any land
for farming anymore, so embrace your woman
closely.
9. My son, under the cocoa tree that I did meet
your mother could be your eateries and
restaurants of nowadays, but remember, the
closet thing we did there was to embrace each
other.
10. My son, don’t be carried away when you
start making more money, instead of spending
on those tiny legs that never knew how hard
you worked to get it, spend it on that woman
that stood by you all along.
11. My son, when I threw little stones or
whistled at the window of your mother father’s
house, to call her out, it was not for sex, it was
because I missed her so much.
12. My son, remember, when you say your wife
has changed, there could be something you’ve
stopped doing too.
13. My son, your mother, Asake rode the bicycle
with me before I bought that tortoise car
outside there, any woman that won’t endure
with you in your little beginning should not
enjoy your riches.

5 Shortcut you may regret taking in life
There is no shortcut to anywhere worth going. There is no substitute for doing the work. Meditate on this every day: “I will do the work.” Genius is 1% talent and 99% effort. You must run to be a runner. You must write to be a writer. You must actively attend to your relationships if you want them to flourish.
By all means, find ways to be more efficient. But make no mistake that it takes diligent effort to build something worthwhile. There are certainly some success stories out there about people who excelled rather quickly, but you will usually find they had put in years of related work long before anyone was paying attention to their seemingly rapid success. In other words, their current state of achievement is simply all those years of work coming together flawlessly in the present.
Don’t sell yourself short by taking shortcuts like these:
1. Taking the easiest route possible.
Someday you will look back on your life and realize that everything worthwhile you’ve ever accomplished initially challenged you. And that is as it should be, because big challenges often prepare ordinary people for extraordinary success.
2. Settling for the way things are by default.
The decision to settle for mediocrity is a real killer. If you settle for just anything, you’ll never know what you’re truly worthy of. There is ample time for you to be who you want to be. Despite the struggles that you might be facing, never give up on yourself.
3. Following the crowd.
Allen Ginsberg once said, “Follow your inner moonlight; don’t hide the madness.” In other words, in this crazy world that’s trying to make you like everyone else, find the courage to be your incredible self.
Never let what other people expect from you dictate what you expect from yourself. Clarity about your true desires is so liberating because you get to stop proving yourself to everyone, including yourself.
4. Ignoring people instead of forgiving them.
Forgetting people who hurt you is your gift to them; forgiving people who hurt you is your gift to yourself. Always forgive others, not because they necessarily deserve forgiveness, but because you deserve peace of mind. We are all one, so when we forgive others we forgive ourselves, which is the first step in the healing process. Without forgiveness, the potential for true happiness in your life is limited.
5. Cutting too many corners with your important relationships.
It hurts to love someone and not be loved in return, but what hurts even more is to love someone and never find the time to let them know how you feel. There is no greater sadness than holding on to the loving words and deeds you never delivered to those you love.
The people you take for granted today may turn out to be the only ones you need tomorrow.

YOUR POVERTY MUST DIE
YOUR POVERTY MUST DIE- Dr D.K Olukoya.
The Bible says that you can pursue and overtake your enemies and recover what they have stolen from you. It is a standing order in the word of God. The Bible being a very straightforward book gives you the two sides of the coin. It also tells us that curses can pursue a person and overtake the person. The same Bible also makes us to understand that blessings can pursue a person and overtake the person. I must point out to you that the spirit of poverty is a very stubborn spirit and it has to be dealt with, with full force by the hammer of the Almighty. Deuteronomy 28:2 says, “And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God.” So, blessings can also pursue and overtake a person. Psalm 23:6 says, “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life...” When you combine Deuteronomy 28:2 and Psalm 23: 6, you get an amazing information. We have always been taught that we should pursue blessings, pursue money, be very aggressive and work ourselves to the bones. Then when we get the money, we hoard it. But now the Bible is saying something completely different. It is saying that those things that you are busy worrying your brain about can pursue and overtake you. Remember that God knows no barrier or impossibility.
Most
of the wealth in the world is in the wrong hands. Why are they in the wrong
hands? We, Christians allowed it. Many of the things that are happening are so
because Christians allow them. When we stand as a church of God
and say that we disallow a particular thing, it would not happen. Our word
cannot be challenged because it is by eternal decree. We are sons of the living
God by adoption. We were not voted into it, so nobody can vote us out.
Men
love the supernatural and they like to see the miraculous. It is because of
that you always find people crowding around street magicians putting big snakes
round their necks. The Bible says that signs and wonders shall follow
believers. It did not say we should be following the signs. Miracles can pursue
and overtake you that is the truth. Beloved, I have a
word for you from the Lord as you are reading this message: God says that He
has just started His work in your life and He has not finished yet.
At
the end of the day, the only true fire and power is God. People may say all
kinds of things but the only person who has the final say is not the doctor, or
the banker, or the lawyer, or the judge. It is not the president, but the
Almighty God.
THREE REASONS
MANY CHRISTIANS ARE POOR:
1.
God will not give you what will kill you. It is like a small boy watching his
daddy shaving and he says, “Daddy, give me the blade, give me the blade.” No
matter how he loves the child, he will not give him the blade. So your
spiritual level and your level of brokenness may be too low for God to entrust
wealth to you. That is why the Bible says, “Seek ye first the kingdom of God
and its righteousness and all other things shall be added unto you.” They are
automatic addition. Here comes the first question to you in this message. “Can
you confirm in your spirit that the kingdom is in you? Are you a broken
Christian? That is the first poverty-destroying weapon
God
may be looking at you and He is saying, “If I give this my child fifty million
naira, will he not backslide?” If God sees that anger, greed, dishonesty,
lying, are still in your life, He will not give you His prosperity. Get the
kingdom first; submit the whole of your life to God and then you will never be
forsaken. The Bible says that God never forsakes the righteous but you have to
be righteous to have that privilege. There are many people now who are very
serious with the Lord because they are poor. But when money comes, they would
become irregular. God can see. Many are praying, “O Lord, promote my husband,” and
God is saying, “When I have not promoted the man, he is running after strange
women, when he is promoted, he will now build castles for them and abandon you
completely. Why don’t you let us get him saved first?”
There
are people who were working and praying hard when they did not have a fan in
their house and at night mosquitoes came and by the time they slapped
themselves thrice, they would stand up to pray. But now they got the fan and
split air conditioner, they over sleep. God does not want that. Many forget the
household of God immediately they obtain contracts. They would not be seen
again in the church until the money is gone. Before then when you call a prayer
point like: “Let every contract be released now, in the name of Jesus, they
would pray and shake their heads. But when they get it, the next place you
would see them is the VIP lounge at the airport with very starched clothes,
sitting down and eating meat pie and drinking tea as early as 6.30 am. But when
they were looking for it, it was dry fast everyday.
Many
who used to come early to church when they had no cars now come late to church
in spite of the fact that God has blessed them with cars and drivers. And when
you ask them why they come late to church, they would say, “That foolish driver
did not wake up on time to bring me to church.” But when there was no car and
driver, they got to church before everybody, swept the floor, joined the prayer
warriors, and then settled down before service. God sees all these.
Some
people were praying very well when they had no job. But now that they have a
job, they forget their spiritual duties because of over- time. Some prayed and
fasted to get a job and by 5.00 am., they have arrived at the office. But when
it is service days, you see them strolling in one hour late. God normally
allows that which keeps a man from Him to be withdrawn so that He can get his
attention. God has had to withdraw cars, houses and comfort from people in
order to save their souls. So, check your life today. Are you broken to the
level where God can commit the riches of the Gentiles into your hands? Do you
have clean hands, a kind of hand that God will place this sort of riches on?
This is the first headache of the Almighty when it comes to prosperity.
2.
Proverbs 11: 24 says, “There is that scattereth, and yet
increaseth and there is that withholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth to
poverty. The liberal soul shall be made fat. And he that watereth shall be
watered also himself.” And Luke 6: 38 says, “Give, and it shall be given unto
you, good measure, pressed down, and shaken together and running over, shall
men give into your bosom.” This is an area where the devil has blinded
the eyes of many believers. Many pray that they want prosperity, but how is the
prosperity going to come when they have sown no seed. It is like a student
praying to pass his examination when he has read nothing. It is like a woman
praying to get pregnant without a husband or without a man. You must sow a
seed. It is that seed that the Lord will multiply for you. Someone who wants
prosperity should do more than tithing. Some people have been writing me
letters asking: “What should we tithe? Is it the gross pay or the net pay?” It
is better for you to over pay than to under pay. If God is asking you for a
tithe and you say, “O God, take 20 per cent or 15 per cent, it is better for
you to owe me than for me to owe you.” You must not treat God as a beggar. You
treat God as a beggar when you give Him the extra that you don’t need. If you
cannot be generous with the Almighty when things are hard for you, you would
not be able to give when there is abundance. Sowing in the time of famine
attracts abundant blessings and prosperity. Remember the story of the woman in
Mark chapter 12, who just threw in some coins and God said, “This one has
contributed more money than every other person.” So, if you find it hard to
give a tenth unto God, of the money that belongs to you, you are inviting
poverty. If you completely forget to pay your tithe and your offerings, you are
inviting poverty. If you feel or believe that the tithe and offerings you give
are too much, you are inviting poverty. If God gives you 20,000 naira and you
find it difficult to pay 2,000 as tithe, you are writing to poverty. Wise
believers double the tithe. Also, they sow a big seed and challenge the Lord.
Giving to God is sacrifice. You have not started giving to God until you feel
the pinch. Many are so tight-fisted when it comes to financing God’s work.
Tithe borrowers are looking for trouble too. It is foolish to borrow your tithe
because the repercussion can be grievous and it is also an insult to God.
3. Psalm
78:41 says, “Yea they turned back and tempted God and limited the Holy one of
Israel.” The third reason is that many of us limit God. Many limit God
by the way they talk and act. Many do not believe that God can do something
outside their normal salary or income. So, anytime they pray, they focus their
attention on what appears to be obvious. They are not on the look out for the
miraculous or supernatural. They limit God completely. That is why sometimes
when you ask some people, “How are you?” They would answer “rough.” Negative
and inferior thinking invites poverty. You should not limit God. The Bible says
that with God, nothing shall be impossible. It is only in our dictionary we
find the word impossible or difficult.
WAY OUT
When
you check your life and you find out that the spirit of poverty is in control,
then you need to resist it. Think now about your finances. If you have cheated
God, ask for forgiveness. Take a positive stand on what you will do in God’s
house. If you have things that you have
stored up somewhere and you know that you don’t really need them. Sell them off
and put the money into God’s work. The last step to take is an aggressive
one. It is to pray poverty destroying prayers. You must pray against the spirit
of poverty with holy aggression. Some sicknesses are not ordinary. They are
just ladders of poverty and you need to break them to pieces.
