Non-Jews should not be allowed to live in Israel – Israel’s Chief Rabbi

                                                     Chief Rabbi Yitzhak Yosef

Sephardic Chief Rabbi Yitzhak Yosef has faced a public backlash after saying that according to Jewish law some non-Jews should be forbidden to live in Israel.
“According to Jewish law, it’s forbidden for a non-Jew to live in the Land of Israel – unless he has accepted the seven Noahide laws,” Rabbi Yosef said during his weekly lecture.
Non-Jews who fail to live by the seven Noahide laws should be expelled to Saudi Arabia, he added.

“If he’s not willing to accept one of them, [which is] not to commit suicide, if he’s not willing to accept this, you send him to Saudi Arabia,” Yosef said.
The seven Laws of Noah include prohibitions against idolatry, blaspheming God, murder, illicit sexual relations, stealing and eating a limb of a live animal. It also prescribes the establishment of a legal system that would ensure obedience to the law.
If a non-Jew stays in Israel, he has to serve the Jews, the Rabbi said.
“Who will be the servers? Who will be our assistants? Therefore, we leave them here in the land,” he said.
However, following a wave public outrage, Yosef had to backtrack on his comments. He explained that his words had nothing to do with today’s world as he had been referring to the “days of the messiah.”
“These laws are theoretical, [and] refer to fulfilling the seven Noahide Laws in the days of the messiah, and have no connection to the present day,” he wrote, adding that he has “always adopted a peaceful and embracing path.”

Europe must cultivate own Islam’: German politician makes statement

A senior German politician has put forward a proposal to “cultivate” a European kind of Islam in Germany by barring foreign investment from Muslim countries, introducing local training for imams and making German obligatory in mosques.
Andreas Scheuer, General Secretary of the Christian Social Union (CSU), the Bavarian sister party of Angela Merkel’s governing CDU party, in an interview with Germany’s Die Welt, spoke of the need for a so-called Islam law that would help Muslims smoothly integrate into European society.
“We cannot tolerate a situation in which extremist views are imported from abroad... Europe must cultivate its own Islam,” Scheuer stressed.
The law would involve curbing the money flow from foreign countries such as Turkey and Saudi Arabia to mosques and Islamic kindergartens in Germany. Imams serving the Islamic population should “be trained in Germany and share our core values.”

One cup of diced watermelon (152 grams) contains 43 calories, 0 grams of fat, 2 grams of sodium, 11 grams of carbohydrate (including 9 grams of sugar and 1 gram of fiber) and 1 gram of fiber. One cup of watermelon will provide 17% of vitamin A, 21% of vitamin C, 2% of iron and 1% of calcium needs for the day.
Watermelon also contains thiamin, riboflavin, niacin, vitamin B-6, folate, pantothenic acid, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, zinc, copper, manganese, selenium, choline, lycopene and betaine. According to the National Watermelon Promotion Board, watermelon contains more lycopene than any other fruit or vegetable.
Here are a few of the benefits adding a cup or two of watermelon daily to your diet will bring:
Asthma prevention: The risks for developing asthma are lower in people who consume a high amount of certain nutrients. One of these nutrients is vitamin C, found in abundance in watermelon.
Blood pressure: A study published by the American Journal of Hypertension found that watermelon “reduced ankle blood pressure, brachial blood pressure and carotid wave reflection in obese middle-aged adults with prehypertension or stage 1 hypertension”. The study also showed that watermelon consumption improved arterial function.
Cancer: An excellent source of the antioxidant vitamin C, as well as others, watermelon can help combat the formation of free radicals known to cause cancer. Lycopene intake, for example, has been linked to a decreased risk of prostate cancer prevention in several studies.
Digestion and regularity: Watermelon, because of its water and fiber content, helps to prevent constipation and promote regularity for a healthy digestive tract.
Hydration: Made up of 92% water and full of important electrolytes, watermelons are a great snack to have on hand during the hot summer months to prevent dehydration.
Inflammation: Choline is a very important and versatile nutrient that aids in sleep, muscle movement, learning and memory. Choline also helps to maintain the structure of cellular membranes, assists in the transmission of nerve impulses, and helps in the absorption of fat. Choline can also alleviate chronic inflammation.
Muscle soreness: Watermelon and its juice have been shown to reduce muscle soreness and improve recovery time following exercise in athletes. Researchers believe this is likely do to the amino acid L-citrulline that watermelon contains.

Emirates Road to get seven lanes to ease traffic flow, FNC told

Abu Dhabi: Emirates Road, one of three vital highways linking the south to the north in the UAE, will be expanded from three to seven lanes to reduce traffic jams, Dr Abdullah Bel Haif Al Nuaimi, Minister of Infrastructure Development, told the Federal National Council on Thursday.
Al Nuaimi added the expansion of the 190km road, earlier known as Dubai Bypass Road, would be carried out towards the entrance of Sharjah city near the Maliha Road exit.
Admitting the ‘bottlenecks and delays’ caused by the road, the minister told the House the project will provide a radical solution to traffic woes on the vital highway, with many flyovers and tunnels to be built at many points, similar to development done on Mohammad Bin Zayed Road.
“Development of the road will also entail that trucks, which negatively affect traffic movement and quality of the road, will be restricted to three designated lanes of the highway,” Al Nuaimi said.

I Am Gay And HIV Positive, I Want To Die–Nigerian Man Cries Out!

I received this email from an anonymous individual claiming to be HIV positive and wants to die. I was shocked reading it. I have decided to share it on the platform so you guys can see how to help, please read.

My name is Shedrack, a Nigerian. I am into events management and decorations.I follow your blog that is the reason why i am sending this to you. I tested positive to HIV two years ago, and ever since then, it has not been easy for me, trust me. Life has been particularly hard, coupled with who I am as a gay man living with HIV in Nigeria, dealing with the secrets and all, as you have to be very selective about the kind of people that you discuss HIV issues with, given the stigma associated with the disease.
When I tested positive to HIV two years ago, it was a big shock for me. I couldn’t believe it, even though I have done some pretty nasty things. And it will surprise you that even at age 21, I never knew that one could contact HIV through having unprotected anal sex. And this I did several times with different men, all because I thought I was having fun. Even when the conversation was brought up at a certain time amongst my peers, about contacting HIV from unprotected anal sex, I argued about it, claiming that anal sex was completely safe. Somehow I felt that gay sex is not sex.
When I received my confirmation result, I cried for almost an hour like a baby, literally shaking, feeling like everything was over for me, my whole life, coupled with how I already hated myself for being gay. I said in my mind “Me, HIV?” I quickly blamed my sexual orientation, and somehow, some parts of me still do, especially as it has been said by many that homosexuality causes HIV and a curse from God for homosexuals, some are calling it an end time disease for end time evil practices. I get it, this is Africa and everything is associated to demons and spiritualized. But my major problem now is that, I seriously hate myself. I feel like I am a living curse – Like I caused everything that has happened to me. Nothing seems to be working out anymore. I feel dirty, like the whole world is turning or has turned against me. I am a homosexual living in this shit-hole called Nigeria.
I am currently not on any medication, as I have been going for prayers, hoping that God will change my situation. I am a born again Christian now. [At least I think so], seeing as I have said the sinners prayers. I am seeking for Christ’s mercy. But I feel like I have done so much and cannot or never be forgiven, especially as I am struggling with changing my sexual orientation, and hoping on God for a cure. Even though many has claimed that these things I seek can never be achieved. I feel like I have reached my peak. Some say I am depressed, while others are saying that I have too many problems. I can’t discuss my situation with anyone, as I will be mocked and ridiculed, I tried telling someone once and it was indeed a very bitter experience. And I do not wish to try again. I have become withdrawn from the world and I am always very alone and scared, life makes no sense to me anymore. I want to just… disappear, I want to go some place peaceful, I am welcoming death, silence, and calmness. I want to vanish, I want to die, I am tired.
