Munich evacuates train stations amid ‘imminent’ terror threat

Police in Munich asked people to stay away from the city’s main train station and a second train station in the city’s Pasing neighborhood Thursday night because of “serious, imminent threat” of a terror attack.
 “Current indications show that a terror attack is being planned in Munich. Please avoid gatherings of people and the Munich and Pasing train stations,” police said in a tweet.

FG will create 1m jobs in 2016 – Osinbajo

The Federal Government of Nigeria will create no fewer than one million direct jobs in 2016, the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, has said A statement issued by Laolu Akande, his Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Media and Publicity, quoted Osinbajo as saying that another one million poor Nigerians would benefit from the first phase of the Conditional Cash Transfer Scheme.
 He said that President Muhammadu Buhari had announced job opportunities for 500,000 graduate-youths to be engaged as teachers. He added that an estimated 500,000 non-graduate unemployed people would be trained as artisans. The Vice President explained that the Conditional Cash transfer Scheme was intended to utilise the thrift system to grant loans to market women to enable them improve their businesses and earn decent living.
 “We will go after Nigeria’s fund wherever it is found and we will recover it,’’ he said, saying “our country is bound for greatness.’’ The Vice President told the Nigerian community that President Buhari was a man to be trusted; a man of integrity. “I am proud of our leadership and this is a great opportunity for the country to be great,’’ he added.

Malawi Warns 'Sex Tourists'

Malawi government has warned that tourists luring underage girls into sexual exploitation would be prosecuted and even deported.

There worries that the southern African country is becoming a magnet for pedophiles with rising child sex tourism in tourism attraction areas of Mangochi and other lakeshore districts in the country.

 Department of Social Welfare in the Ministry of Gender, Children, Disability and Social Welfare has learnt during monitoring visit officials from UNICEF, ministries of gender and information made to Dzimwe Community Radio in Monkey Bay, Mangochi that some tourists especially of European origin indulge into sex with little girls and boys living in tourism attraction areas.

 Principal social welfare officer responsible for family and child welfare, Dominic Misomali said: "It is not normal to sleep with a girl or a boy aged 10 or 12 because the age gap between that male or female tourist and the child is very wide."

He said communities have powers to report such cases straight to police or courts, saying that is "total exploitation and abuse".

BREAKING: Court declares APGA’s Otti, Abia Governor elect

The Nigerian Court of Appeal sitting in Owerri, the Imo State capital has nullified the judgment of the Abia State Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal, which upheld the election of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia
The Appellate Court therefore declared Alex Otti of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) as the governor of the state.
It then ruled that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to make arrangements for Otti’s swearing in.
