President Muhammadu Buhari of Nigeria, has approved the appointment of Muhammad Mustapha Abdallah as the new Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of the National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).

The appointment which took effect from January, 2016, is for a first tenure of five years.
Abdallah, a retired Lieutenant Colonel of the Nigeria Army, replaces the wife of a former Deputy National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Bode George, Roli. Roli Bode-George, appointed in June 2014 by former President Goodluck Jonathan, was a federal commissioner in the National Population Commission, NPC.
Abdallah, a Professional Security Officer whose public service career spanned over 30 years during which he served in various capacities and strategic positions in the military, was born on November 13, 1954 in Hong, Adamawa State.

Gas Price Hits 47 Cents a Gallon in Michigan

The price of gas hit a stunning low -- just 47 cents per gallon -- in Michigan on Monday.
Michigan was the first state to have gas under $1 in likely over a decade, Patrick DeHaan, senior petroleum analyst, told reporters .
A gas station in Houghton Lake, Michigan, hit the 47 cents mark after a price war between three stations in the town, DeHaan said

Tanzanian President bans miniskirts

Tanzanian president John Magufuli has reportedly banned miniskirts.
Following his sweeping victory last October, Magufuli has become an international hero due to cost-cutting measures that he introduced across the country.
Now,according to reports,he’s surprised the public once again, by banning miniskirts across the country saying he believes the garments, along with short dresses, encourage the spread of HIV/Aids.
