Inside every man is a king and a fool / pay attention to our children spend quality time / give time, don’t buy them toys take them out/ spent time with them / involve with them/ love them genuinely / listen to them intangible investment / deliberately teach our children give then a legacy to read / investment is a key to achievement / make every sacrifice possible to ensure our children succeed

Value system (the foundation)

The “background” when constructing a building, the layout plan and the  foundation must be physically powerful   by so doing the main construction will be able to withstand any structure that will be mounted on the groundwork. while growing up I was opportune to have the best and quality education in an environment where future leaders are groomed  my parents were not that rich but we were comfortable, the people I grew up with i.e. friends both at home and in school had what is called discipline, respect for adult, sense of doing thing right, if any of us kids is trying to go the other way round, before you know it one of the kids is reporting to the nearest adult or available person in charge so every kids is always at his or her best, we all have etiquette,  (good manners) even the adult around us have some sense of dignity, people obey traffic rules  so every one know what is right and what is wrong. There is value for life. I believe then each and every home then was trying to protect their names and Family Value. No child does anything just by him or herself, There is a bite of cheek and balance my mum! She is a no nonsense personality as the only boy child in the house, full of energy, vibrant and ready to jump, she (my Mum) did not give me any room to be free, yet as a child I was  stubborn and always in one trouble or the other, what did my mummy do? She had to channel all that energy in me into some useful venture by making me busy at all times

 She makes me to do all the  laundry in the house, cook for my sisters, she teaches me on how to direct my sister to be useful to themselves and in the house, I am not saying my mum is perfect but she is an instructor when it comes to her children upbringing

So parents have a lot to do when its come to effective parenting, having a good sense of value will make a child grow up in the right direction.                

Believe system

Religion is another vital value that is needed to prepare a child for the future Christianity and Islam are the most accepted religion around the world today, whichever one you chose to believe in, research shows that the manuscript the followers of these two religions used talks more about morals and value for life, so parents should take it as point of duty to put their children through the religious values and what the scriptures say about being a good child. The family is an arrangement by God in which children can be lovingly guided towards responsible adulthood, at home children and disciplined thought social etiquette, consequence of good and bad behavioral pattern

Support system 

Some of us are just fortunate to have whatever we want at our disposal Finance, yes finance, some parent are well to do, so they get their kids everything they need, the best in education, fun time during the holidays, feeding, clothing and accommodation are all well and sufficient for the child

However it is not so for other children, in the street, ghettos and  slums in the 70s we have the middle class that is, not poor,  nor rich but comfortable on the average, the children of this class can compete very well and even do better than the rich kids at school, class work, sports and in other life endeavor.

In Today’s world, it is either you are rich or poor, no matter the class we find ourselves let us try to give our children the best in morals, good value for life and education, these are like setting up a deep foundation that will be strong enough to support the child for any circumstance he or she may find him or herself in future.

Sex

a higher percentage of parents believe sex is something only for the adult to discus, but you know what, we just have to talk about it with our children especially the girl child, the boys need to be talked too, but the girl child need to know more about sex early in life, if you do not talk about sex with a girl child one way or the other she will get the information, she may got it form the wrong source or persons. Children are at greater risk of abuse, children are vulnerable are easily become target so parent must educate their children on how to prevent sexual assaults. Some children ask questions about the new development in their body system, the puberty stage e.g

 Menstrual circle,   pubic hair, Brest development into bobs and other development in his or her body, why? Because the child did not know why the body is reacting that way

How to carry themselves in the midst of men

The boy child needs to know why his body is reacting when he is in the midst of girls and when ever his body is reacting, what will he do to control himself.

Nigerian Northern Governors Condemn Pro-Biafran Attacks

The 19 Northern Governors under the aegis, Northern Governors Forum, have unanimously condemned the attacks that happened during the pro-biafran protest in Onitsha, Anambra state yesterday December 2nd.
 
Rising from a meeting in Borno state today, the governors said Nigerians had no reason to fight themselves at this time when we should join hands to fight the number one enemy of our country which is Boko Haram. Borno state governor, Kshim Shettima who leads the group of Governors, said this in a statement he released through his media aide, Isa Gusau. The statement in part read;

“We condemn the Wednesday crisis in very strong term. We have been in touch with one another today. The Governors of major cities in the north in particular, have been in critical touch to share thoughts and we have collectively taken firm measures to ensure that the violence doesn’t spread to any part of the 19 northern States and we will also be working with our colleagues in the south to nip the crisis in the bud but we will not disclose the measures we have taken so that those who may want to take advantage of the Onitsha mayhem don’t know our strategies. However, it is surprising to the Northern States Governors Forum that any Nigerian at all can even contemplate any kind of violence when we already have serious problems of Boko Haram insurgents that are killing Muslims and Christians, killing northerners and southerners, attacking Mosques, Churches and markets, in an effort to kill all of us that do not subscribe to their interpretation of Islam. We have Boko Haram that kill Hausa, Fulani, Ibo, Yoruba, Kanuri, Ijaw and anyone they are able to come across. We thought that the existence of Boko Haram should have been enough to make all Nigerians fuse into one and fight a common enemy. It is really sad that any Nigerian can contemplate violence. We are not blaming any individual or group because there are security agencies whose job it is to safeguard lives and property and do investigations where necessary, we will not go into their duties. We beg all Nigerians to be calm and go about their duties in peace. We have got more than enough problems to worry about. We can’t afford any distraction that will shift our focus from the bigger problems of Boko Haram that has an ambition of sending the human race into extinction. We urge all Nigerians to be calm. We particularly call on all Nigerians living in the northern states not to pay attention to differences in religion and ethnicity but rather, should see each other as Nigerians with equal residential rights and fundamental human rights that include freedom to lawfully reside anywhere in Nigeria, freedom of worship, movement, trade, association, education, healthcare and other rights as provided by the Nigerian constitution. We particularly call on our youths not to allow anyone use them for any purpose because youths have suffered more than any other age category from the hands of Boko Haram insurgents and that is more than enough. Our focus should be on how to end the Boko Haram insurgency and not to be driven into any other crisis. We have suffered too much, we must say no to any crisis. As heads of Government of the 19 northern states, we will by the grace of God, do everything humanly possible to ensure that no resident, regardless of his or her ethno-religious background, is denied any of these rights. As Nigerians, we are one, we need one another and we must live as one people,”

11 years after, Nigerian Senate urges Buhari to reintroduce toll gates

THE Senate, yesterday, asked President Muhammadu Buhari to as a matter of urgency reintroduce toll gates on the nation’s highways to create a financial pool through which bad roads could be maintained and rehabilitated.
The Senate also called for the introduction of weigh bridges to help protect the roads as well as discourage the over usage of the highways that were constructed for ferrying heavy vehicles and trucks.

Lekki-Tollgates

Also yesterday, the Senate mandated the Federal Government to make provisions for repair of major highways in the 2016 budget against the backdrop that the state of existing roads were deplorable and would need urgent Federal Government’s intervention. The resolutions were sequel to the adoption of recommendations of Senator Barnabas Gemade led ad-hoc committee on works which investigated the total collapse of federal roads in Nigeria and prevalent gully erosion sites.

The message was reported on CNN when a reporter said he had been told about the threat by a senior European counter terrorism official.
Terrorism analyst Paul Cruickshank said the source told him: “There’s intelligence that has been obtained by European security agencies that ISIS in Syria and Iraq is aiming to hit the United Kingdom next.
“The intelligence suggesting that British ISIS operatives in Syria and Iraq have been tasked to return to the United Kingdom to launch an attack against the UK.
“These concerns have been compounded by that vote yesterday in the British House of Commons authorising British airstrikes for the first time against ISIS in Syria.”
“They are treating this very, very seriously indeed.
“Not clear how imminent this threat is.”
He said that the Paris-style attack where 130 people were killed by IS extremists could “play out again” in Britain in the “weeks ahead”.

THE DANGEROUS SLEEP- part 1

One of the places that man suffers his major defeat is in the bed. The sudden trouble of a lot of people started on their beds. One wonderful thing that God can do for you in life is to give you power over the battle of the bed. When you win that battle you will start moving the way God wants you to move. You will not become a prayer warrior if you are still in the bondage of the bed. You will not be useful to the Almighty if the bed is still your cell. You will not become anything powerful to the Almighty if you spend too long a time on your bed.

I read the story of a man who died at the age of 75. He spent almost 25 years sleeping and about six months praying, out of 75 years. It is clear that the fellow had gone to hell fire. He spent one-third of his life sleeping.

If you are still caged by the bed then you cannot make any headway spiritually. The major spiritual battles that many people won in their lives were won after midnight.

Matthew 13:25: “But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares, among the wheat, and went his way.”
The enemy does not come to entertain. Sometimes, we start firing at the enemy when he had already planted his evil seed and is gone. We start firing when the destruction has already been done. Sometime ago, a friend of mine boarded a vehicle to Lagos from somewhere in the eastern part of the country. He sat beside the driver and as they were going he noticed that the driver was dozing. He told him to park the vehicle and sleep for a while before continuing on the journey, to avoid an accident. But the driver abused him and told him that he was not sleeping. He slept off again and before they knew it, they had ended up in a pit. The accident occurred because the driver was sleeping but did not admit he was doing so, like many people would do. Some people allow the spirit of slumber to operate their spiritual life. Today, they are awake and tomorrow they are asleep. Witches and powers of darkness look at many of us in amazement because they don’t sleep. They don’t need coffee to remain awake. I know of a fellow, a child of the devil, who decided to hold night vigils against a person for one month. For the one month, from midnight to 3.00 am, he was cursing the man. The person being cursed was busy sleeping until he started seeing himself walking into a coffin.
Please, at this juncture I would like you to pray like this: “You the powers of the night, my life is not your candidate, in the name of Jesus.” If you are the kind of person who sleeps so heavily that you cannot wake up at the first tap, you need deliverance, because it means you are going deep down and to the level that anything could happen to your spirit man. If your spirit man can sleep that far, there is a problem.
Romans 13:11 “And that knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.”
Paul said they were sleeping and had to wake up. If physical sleep is very bad what about spiritual sleep?
Sleep is a period of rest during which the sleeper loses the awareness of his surroundings. So, the danger in sleep is the loss of awareness. The elder brother of sleep is what medical people call “coma.” Some people are in spiritual coma. Messages and prayer do not worth anything to them. They may be at church service but would not hear what the preacher is saying because they are already dead spiritually even though they are alive physically.
When a person falls asleep, all his physical activity decreases, his muscles relax and he could have a nightmare. Occasionally a person sleepwalks. A person who is sleep-walking can rise up, go to the kitchen, drink something go back to the bed and continue to sleep. And if you say, “Who drank this thing?” He would say, “I never stood up, I did not go there.” This is not common in Africa though. I pray that it will not happen to you, in Jesus’ name.
Some people even discuss in their sleep. That is why a local proverb says that sleep is the friend of death. It is during sleep that the agents of Satan in our environment lay evil eggs in people’s lives and they try to make sure that their victims do not know what they have done, because if they know, they will shake off the evil eggs. That is why the Bible says that while men slept, his enemies came quietly, planted evil and went away. It is not all enemies that will attack you directly. In fact, most enemies will not attack you directly. They just come, lay their evil eggs and go away.
When you lose the battle of the bed, you lose all battles. Satan has destroyed so many good things because of sleep. When you are addicted to sleep physically it is bad, but it is even worse when it is transferred to the spirit man. Sleep gives the enemy a chance to sow tares. While men sleep, many human tragedies occur. For example, fire, hurricane and tornadoes sweeping homes and cities away sometimes before the victims wake up. So, sleep is a time of insecurities, you cannot protect yourself at that time. It is a time of inactivity and a time of delusion when you assume that all is right only for you to wake up to see a great change. So, we need to be aware of the dangers of spiritual slumber. Great changes may occur for the enemy would be at work.
Some people would say, “When I went to sleep last night, I was okay but by the time I woke up, I had become another person.” Some people go to bed sound only to wake up mad. The powers of the night waited for them to sleep and planted things in their lives.
Please, take this prayer points: “Every seed of the power of the night, roast, in the name of Jesus.”
