How Pastors Lose Respect

                        
1Timothy  5:17 says Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine.
Pastoral ministry is an high calling, and the office should be treated with dignity and honor. Bible speaks much about this. God specially wants the church members to give honor and respect their pastors. God forbids disrespecting of the man that labors in the Gospel for you.
God wants church memebers to honor their christian leaders.

What Respecting them does not mean?
Respecting pastor does not mean to cover their sins.
God used Nathan to rebuke King David, because he committed a sin. Nathan had a choice not to tell him what God had told him about the King’s sin. But Nathan chose to obey God rather men. 1Ti 5:20 Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear.
When you cover their sins, you are defiling the office of the Bishop, and the Bishop must be blameless. Someone exerted, “With the worldly crowd we should be blameless, and with the christian crowd, we should have a good report”
Respecting does not mean to place them as your God.
Pastors are not God. They are human being like you and I. Many people have been disappointed because man of God failed them. Dont look up to any man as your final authority, look up to God. Dont trust them as your God, respect and honor them because they preach the Word of God.
Heb 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

WAYS PASTOR LOSE RESPECT
1. Preaching Heresy
Bible says in 1Ti 5:17, Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine.
Pastors who are preaching waterdown messages, diluted Gospel should not be respected. God wants us to hold people who are preaching the truth of God’s Word in High Esteem, respect them.

2. Dressing Shabby
Pastors are not well respected today because many do not dress okay. Let me say this to you pastor, whatever you want to do, do it professional. it is your calling, it is your job. Dress professional. Iron your cloth, dress sharp. Do I have any dressing standard for pastor in pulpit? Yes. Look your best. I want to know that your dressing is your addressing. You must protect your office, and command the respect of people by dressing good. Look your best.

3.Seeking Advice or Counsel from your church members
This is the worst thing a pastor can do to lose respect.Dont go to your church members to seek advice on any matter. if you need any help, reach out to someone who is already in the ministry before you or older than you, and let them help you out.

4. Arguement
Dont argue especially on social media, and among people who do not understand the truth.
Mat7:6 Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.

5.Borrow money from church member.
Dont you ever borrow from a church member. If you have any need, talk to God to meet that need and, you can talk to someone in the ministry who will understand you.

6. Not Keeping Good company
Your friends will either make you or break you. Your members will not respect you, when they see their pastors keeping bad companies. Pro 13:20 He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.

7. Bad Homes
This is very important. You are the leader, your followers are looking up to, and if you can not lead your home, how can you lead the house of God? Your home is your number one ministry, and if your home is not good, you are not going to have a good ministry. Sometimes, people attend a church where their marriages and homes can be salvaged, protected, and helped.
1Ti 3:4-5 One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity; (For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?)
The lists go on and on.
Pastors, we must be very careful, once we lose respect with our people, sermons will not do them any good.

How to Have a Better Church Administration

                            
“Let all things be done decently and in order.”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭14:40‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Having leadership ability is a great asset in the lives of a pastor. But there is one essential thing a church leader, and that is, a better administration. If a pastor lacks better church administration, the productivity, and the growth of the church will be low. Leading the flocks, you must do it in a right way. There are good ways, and bad ways.

Therefore, In order to have a better church administration, the church leader must follow this principles.

1. Read good books about church administration
There are good Christian books out there about church administration, you can invest to get books about church administration to help you have a better one. Having a better church administration will increase your church productivity.

2. Ask pastors who are better in that area to help you
Experience is a hard teacher, because she gives the test first, the lessons afterward- Vernon Law
These pastors have probably gone through what you are going through right now, they have better way of solving lack of good church administration.
There are pastors who have better church administration, as a pastor, you should humble yourself to learn from them. It will save a lot of church chaos, and mess up in the future. There are pastors you can talk to, who can really help you on how to organize your church. Ask other pastors to evaluate you.

3. Attend Pastors conference and seminar

There are small sessions of conferences that talk about church administration. It will be wise to attend these conference to learn more. The more you learn, they more you hone your weak administration.

4. Hire a staff who is better in church administration
As a pastor, knowing fully that you need a better church administration, you can hire an asistant pastor who can organize things in the church, and you make him accountable to you. Here is another things, you must be willing to give him the chance to do his work.

5. Be willing to change
Don’t be too rigid in your way of church administration, you must be willing to change from good to better. If the system you are using is not helping your people, change it.

Why Christ Jesus established a local Church and not a Universal Church

                        
The Local church is important to God, and that is why Christ established the local church, and not universal church like Catholic believes. I believe that God has an uttermost purpose for individual believers, and that is why he has place for you in a local church.

Believers are edified(built up) in the faith by the leaders and teachers of the local congregation.
And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; (‭Ephesians‬ ‭4‬:‭11-14‬ KJV)
God uses the local church as a training ground to teach and train others the word of God.
And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also. (‭2 Timothy‬ ‭2‬:‭2‬ KJV)
But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth. (‭1 Timothy‬ ‭3‬:‭15‬ KJV)
It is a place where the child of God gives his tithes and offerings to the Lord for the support of the local church, weak, and missions.
Moreover, brethren, we do you to wit of the grace of God bestowed on the churches of Macedonia; How that in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded unto the riches of their liberality. For to their power, I bear record, yea, and beyond their power they were willing of themselves; Praying us with much entreaty that we would receive the gift, and take upon us the fellowship of the ministering to the saints. And this they did, not as we hoped, but first gave their own selves to the Lord, and unto us by the will of God. Insomuch that we desired Titus, that as he had begun, so he would also finish in you the same grace also. (‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭8‬:‭1-6‬ KJV) (Acts 4:32-37, Phil 4:15-19)
The local church provides a place where believers come together to pray for one another and work for the Lord

Ye also helping together by prayer for us, that for the gift bestowed upon us by the means of many persons thanks may be given by many on our behalf. (‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭1‬:‭11‬ KJV)
The local church sends out missionaries
The local church is responsible for sending missionaries out, and to support them.
Now there were in the church that was at Antioch certain prophets and teachers; as Barnabas, and Simeon that was called Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manaen, which had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul. As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them. And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them away. (‭Acts‬ ‭13‬:‭1-3‬ KJV)
And when they were come, and had gathered the church together, they rehearsed all that God had done with them, and how he had opened the door of faith unto the Gentiles. (‭Acts‬ ‭14‬:‭27‬ KJV)
If you are not part of a local church, it is now time to look for a Bible believing Baptist church, and join them.

Martin Lawrence:Dead or Alive?

                                               
There has been reports claiming that US comedian and actor Martin Lawrence has died and this story is circulating vigorously via social media.


Many of the posts link back to a 'news' report published on some websites that Lawrence was found dead in a Los Angeles hotel room. The same report was published in August 2016 on some international websites and has since been republished on a number of other websites.
According to those report, Lawrence had been dead in the room for several days and his body was only discovered after he failed to check out of the hotel as scheduled.

However, the rumours are untrue and the supposed news report is fake. Martin Lawrence is alive and well and has been active on social media well after the time of his supposed demise.

Lisbon hosts first ever Beer Week

                                        
 Lisbon is, for the first time ever, to host a Beer Week, from 18 to 25 September in Mem Moniz.


The event includes a mile-long run with the aim of combining physical exercise with beer.
Participants taking part in the Beer Run cover a 1.6 kilometre stretch with four craft beer stops along the route.
The programme also includes a Beer Route and a Beer Festival in the Torel Garden.

One of the roads PDP used for campaigns during the 2015 general elections, anchored by an Igbo actor, Chief Chika Okpara, aka, Zebrudaya.

As you guys can see, commuters and motorists who are tired and frustrated would come down and start trekking.
Instead of we to do the needful by pressurizing the President Muhammadu Buhari led administration to help us fix all the fixable roads in the South-East, we are busy playing petty politics of childishness.
I hear with one ear that work has started at the 2nd Niger Bridge, though I need to verify this but if true, and if Buhari is able to fix this Enugu-Onitsha Expressway for us, then SHAME will be for YOUR SUPPOSED IGBO BROTHER and HIS PARTY who were in office for 6yrs and 16yrs respectively but couldn't do anything for Ndi-Igbo and in Igbo-Land.

And these people still have Shame to condemn a government that is barely two years old??
They stupidly had the GUTS to ask Buhari to resign?? When if we were in a sane environment, all of them, including those of them in this government who are from that party would have been thrown into the bottomless pit.

Germany protest against transatlantic TTIP and CETA trade deals

                   

Tens of thousands of people have protested in cities across Germany against a proposed transatlantic trade deal between the EU and the US.

Protesters say the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) will lower European standards on food and environmental protection, and could lead to outsourcing and job-losses.
Supporters of the deal say it promises to lower tariffs and promote growth.
The demonstrators were also protesting against a similar deal with Canada.
There were large crowds carrying flags and banners in seven German cities, including Berlin, Munich, Hamburg and Frankfurt, all braving cool and wet weather.

One of the protesters said "I want us to get rid of TTIP and for European social and environmental standards to be respected, maintained and improved," in Berlin.
Many demonstrators said the deal would lead to exploitation of people by businesses on both sides of the Atlantic.
