He's the Students' Union President of MAPOLY, Ogbeni akande segun a.k.a GLORIOUS.
Today makes it 206days. Since glorious has been forced on us as president of students' union. As a matter fact, both the freshers and stallites have been following this dispensation, even a blind man can tel us that it has been failure all through.
1)WELFARISM: It's been high rate ailing health as a result of congested classrooms and the union president has not been able to agitate. Lose of pregnancies as ladies have continued to stand in the sun to pay and do things. Thank God for intervention of the sch mgt. Our unchilled pure water is still sold at higher rate despite the fact that we ay host to a pure water factory.
No first aid box in each departments even if they are they are not working properly.
It is even on records that a student frm his dept who was mistakenly picked by security was only gotten from their grasps and left alone in his own pool of blood at the ICT center. Remember that day.
Ever since he emerges, he has not even thought of meeting some NGOs to come to the school and have free test and seminars on health,sex education.yet we claim to have a union leader. What a set of mauraders and thieves!
2) UNIONISM: Mapoly is the only school in ogun state where we don't enjoy unionism because the union president has lost focus. He and his excos only care about themselves and not the interest of the entire mapaites. As a union leader, your aim is to fight for the right of students and restore the glory of unionism that our fathers enjoyed during their time in school; reverse is the case here students cannot excercise their franchise or even fight for what they deserve. What a shame!
3) HARRASSMENT: The so called groups intimidate our students because of the carefree attitudes of the union leader,as the union leader you have the right to summon any students' body that may want to victimize other students under whatsoever guise. Rather, he prefers to use these people against the students which is not supposed to be. When there is a minor issue, you should be able to settle with peace and not informing the security men. You have continued to get our colleagues humiliated.
4) TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM: We are not saying you should go and buy buses bt the ones should be strategically worked on. I haven't really seen a clearly stated and defined strategy to curb the scourge. Am not disappointed anyway; What do u expect of a man that can not manage a sum of. 17million naira??? How does he want to think on how to move the institution forward?
5) CAMPUS POLITICS: As a union president, there is a need for u to strike balance despite the political differences on campus. Campus politics is one main reason why glorious has failed today. President Muhammadu Buhari said; "I am for everybody and I am for nobody". As a union leader, you have to let your administration be opened to parties. Takinq a good look at the SRA today, it is the same set of people whom you handpicked coz u had gone against the provision of constitution which makes all of you to sleep. You didn't allow Mapaites choose for themselves, you chose for them; you imposed on them and you want them to love you. Things aint done that way as a president who want to succed.
Lest I forget, you are yet to clear the embezzlement allegations against you. #Hmmmm... We are waiting ooo
I hope the fore fathers of unionism will find a space in their hearts to forgive you because you have brought shame to the students struggle and institution through ur ways of doing things.
I will stop here for now; retrace ur steps now and be responsible to us. failure to do so, more to come....
