Crawford University, Igbesa, Ogun State,Nigeria, announced on Tuesday that 12 of
the 216 graduating students of the institution bagged First Class.
The Vice-Chancellor of the Institution, Prof. Rotimi Ajayi, made this
known at a news briefing to mark the 7th convocation and 10th
anniversary of the institution in Igbesa.
Ajayi said that 74 students passed out with Second Class (Upper) and
87 with Second Class (Lower) division respectively, while 39 had Third
Class.
He said that the university was also graduating 135 post-graduate students.
According to him, the number of first class students increased from 10 in 2013/2014 to 12 in 2014/2015.
The vice chancellor said that the institution started operation with
235 students in 2003 and had graduated over 1,664 students, with
majority of them occupying enviable positions in the public and private
sectors.
”Some have earned their PhDs in top-rated universities abroad while others have become successful entrepreneurs.”
The vice-chancellor said that the institution had continued to
contribute its quota toward the development of highly skilled manpower
to the nation.
