Primate Elijah Babatunde Ayodele is the founder and spiritual head of
INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church. In this interview with select
journalists, he released prophecies for 2016.
LEADERSHIP NEWSPAPERS: As 2015 comes to an end, what do you foresee in 2016?
PRIMATE AYODELE: "I see Saudi Arabia being attacked by terrorists. I
see that Ebola is still very much around Africa. Coca Cola will rebrand
and must pray against fire outbreak. Political enemies will disorganise
the Bayelsa State governor so that his
second term bid can crumble. But if Governor Dickson seeks the face of
God and work very hard, he will win a second term. But if he relaxes,
the APC candidate will shock him. Let us pray against attacks on our
pipelines."

Unfortunately, a lot of Nigerians will believe these clowns. Adeboye.
Oyedepo, TB Joshua and all the self-acclaimed prophets in Nigeria will
make intelligent guesses with very high probability, then people come
around to stamp fulfilled prophecies on these bogus claims. You hear
statements like, "My Daddy tells me that 20 unemployed youths in this
congregation will get employed before the mid-2016" and their unthinking
herds will shout amen. None of them would rationalize the statement as
mere guess and not prophecies. Out of a population of over 1 million
people, the odds are high that a lot of unemployed people would be
present and definitely some will get jobs within 6 months. Why can't
these fakes mention names? At least, going by the bible, prophecies were
direct and specific.
Why do these people always conduct their
miracles at controlled spaces like crusade grounds, camps, within
churches, etc? According to the bible, Jesus went to the blinds on the
streets, he raised up the dead in their homes, but these fakes will
arrange miracles but the gullible majority will not exercise a little
jot of reason to question these claims.
I just hope Nigerians
will start asking questions of their leaders. Unless and until we get to
that stage, we shall continue to be willing preys in the hands of
scammers - political and religious.
