Ghana is blessed with so many places of tourism and entertainment.
Mostly we tend to look at other regions whiles talking about tourism in
Ghana, forgetting that Accra also has it’s fair share of tourist sites.
If you are coming to Africa,Ghana is the place to be.

If you are coming to Africa,Ghana is the place to be.
Labadi Beach
The Labadi beach is an interesting place to visit if you’re in Accra. It’s Ghana’s premier beach. Various activities take place there and most foreigners love to hangout there since the atmosphere is quite beautiful. Horse riding, gymnastics, dancers, acrobatics, sheds, security etc, all contribute to make Labadi beach the place to be. It’s also close to the La Palm Royal Beach, Trade Fair and not far from the Central Business District.Artists Alliance Gallery (Omanye House)
This three-storey gallery is home to a large array of Ghanaian artists and sculptors such as Augustine Gokah, Betty Acquah, Nii T Mills, Ebenezer Borlabie, Kofi Setorji and Gabriel Eklou. Ablade Glover, one of Ghana’s most respected artists, conceived the Artists Alliance Gallery in the 1960s. He saw the need for a showcase for fine arts in Ghana to act as a driving force to gain recognition around the world. There are not only contemporary arts, but also collectors pieces: beautiful, fragile Asafo flags with embroidered symbols and ancient strip-woven Kente cloths. It sells arts directly from the artists. So if you’re an arts lover, this is the place to be.
Osu Oxford Street
The street houses almost every conceivable shop and business you can imagine. It has restaurants, shopping malls, ice cream joints, night clubs, arts shops, pizza joints, mobile phone shops, computer shops, saloons, banks etc. It’s your one-stop location reminiscent of the famous Oxford Street in London. Popular hangouts and malls like Frankies, Papaye, KFC, Chicken Inn, Koala Mall, Shoprite are all located on this street.
Asomdwee Park
This is the final resting place of President John Evans Fiifi Atta Mills, third President of the fourth republic who passed whiles in office. It is now going to be the resting place for future Presidents who pass on. You might want to pass by and pay your respect to President Mills.
Center For National Culture (Arts Center)
This is a popular location for tourists wanting a one-stop-shop for arts and crafts. It has stalls, an open market and a theatre for performances. The stalls are crammed full with textiles, carvings, bags, music instruments, clothing and jewellery. They lead into an outdoor market that holds more interesting treasures such as metal ornaments, drums, wood furnishing, antiques and leather goods. Then there’s the performing theatre where stage plays, cultural performances and other activities are held. You can even learn how to drum or play other traditional instruments there. Go there and buy an artistic piece to show off to your friends or learn how to play an instrument.
