Electrical mishap sparked Brooklyn blaze that left nearly 24 injured

The raging Brooklyn blaze that left nearly two dozen people injured and killed about 200 pigeons last month was sparked by an electrical mishap, officials of the fire department said on friday.
The DeKalb Ave. blaze between Knickerbocker and Wilson Aves. in Bushwick on March 29 tore through four buildings after it broke out about 10 p.m.
Arcing electrical wires behind one of the buildings — which houses a church — sparked the blaze, officials said. The fire quickly spread to the rooftops, where it destroyed two pigeon coops, officials said.
