All of a sudden the world of Arsenal appears to be in a far better place as the fast track signing of Deportivo La Coruna striker Lucas Perez appears to be all but complete.
On Thursday fans got word that Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger had agreed a £17.1 million deal for the player and a medical was set to take place on Friday.
Now, following news that the Spaniard was in London, it has been reported, via international news, that the player’s medical has taken place and successfully negotiated, thus leaving nothing standing in the way of Wenger finally signing another highly rated player.
It has taken practically the entire summer for the Arsenal boss to follow up the early signing of top quality midfielder Granit Xhaka and fans were beginning to lose hope in recent weeks, resigning themselves to another season of lost opportunity.
