Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General Tukur Burattai, has said
that the Nigerian Army will leave no stone un-turned in ensuring full
implementation of all programmes and policies of the federal government to have
a professionally responsive Army.
Speaking Friday in Zaria through the Chief Accounts and
Budget, of the Nigerian Army, Brig. General Jakko at the opening ceremony of
the Nigerian Army Biometrics Enrolment Exercise, NABEE, for 75 Regular Recruit
Intake, General Buratai said, “l am aware of the efforts made on
computerization of the functions of the Nigerian Army Finance Corps which is in
line with the ongoing financial reforms of the federal government of Nigeria.
“The Nigerian Army as a vital arm of the government will
surely leave no stone unturned in ensuring full implementation of all
programmes and policies of the Federal Government of Nigeria.
“Some of the financial reforms which we have already
embraced include the Treasury Single Account, TSA, Government Integrated
Financial Management Information System, GIFMIS, and the Integrated Personnel
and Payroll Information System, IPPIS, amongst others.
“I strongly believe that the objectives of these programmes
is to improve service delivery in the NA and federal government in general.
