A new record was registered in Ukraine in May, 2017: the
country had exported 39.14 MMT of grains this marketing year, or 120 KMT more
than for the whole 2015/2016, the Ag Ministry’s press service reports.
This result was achieved by expanding barley exports, which
totaled 5.14 MMT against for 4.4 MMT the whole season a year ago.
According to the State Fiscal Service, to date the grain
export breakdown by crop looks as follows:
- wheat – 16.28 MMT;
- barley – 5.14 MMT;
- rye – 4 KMT;
- corn – 17.5 MMT.
Apart from grains, Ukraine also exported 306 KMT of flour.
