The story explores the romantic bond between two young lovers who hail from feuding Niger Delta ethnic groups and the sacrifice they must make that peace may reign.
Tosan, an Itsekiri young man is deeply in love with Priye, an Ijaw young woman.Uwale,Tosan’s brother, stands trial for the murder of Tamuno, Priye’s brother.
The play utilizes imagery and highly symbolic monologues to unveil the impact of oil exploration and exploitation on the psyche of the indigenes of the oil producing areas and the ultimate strains that lead to intra and inter ethnic conflicts as well as the quest for a dignified existence.
