Michigan teen sentenced to 40 years in prison for killing brother

The Michigan teen who fatally shot his brother after chillingly declaring, “let's see if it's your lucky day” sobbed in court as he learned he’ll spend up to 40 years behind bars.
Riley Spitler, 17, was sentenced to 20 to 40 years in prison Thursday for the 2014 killing of his brother Patrick,according to reports.
The teen was convicted in January of second-degree murder, which the boys’ father fiercely contested. Spitler told cops he pointed the gun at his brother, but didn’t expect it to go off.
