Description:
Terra Mysterium is looking for four actors to complete our cast of A Midwinter Mummer's Tale. A Midwinter Mummer's Tale is a British folk tradition adaptation of Charles Dicken's "A Christmas Carol" featuring indigenous Celtic mythological elements, Folk Horror, and music.

We believe in inclusive and diverse casting. Anyone who fits the requirements below are encouraged to audition.

Roles needed

Jacobus Flintknap (35-50 years old)- Physically imposing and strong. A crueler version of Jacob Marley. Must be able to carry actual chain on their person, and lift a heavy puppet head for the second half of the show. Dialect-RP/Standard British.

Trickster (20-35 years old) Also plays Alfie, Jack Green's husband- Agile, male or female, genderqueer, transgender. A playful and mischievous deity (Ghost of Christmas Past-like), who can turn from joyful, to catty, to angry on a dime. Skilled singer/actor preferably a treble voice (tenor/high baritone or high mezzo-soprano). Dialect-RP/Standard British.

Jack Green (20-25 years old)- Youthful and hopeful. (A gay male version of Ebenezer's niece). Able to carry a tune. Would be lovely if he is also fiddle player to accompany the mummer's carols, but not necessary. Dialect-RP/Standard British.

William Belle (25-35 years old)- Ernest and sad. Esmerelda Pennywise's (our version of Ebenezer Scrooge) lover from the past. Must be able to characterize an age range from young to 50's.
