The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) has imposed a fine
of Rs 500,000 on a milk production company on the charges of running its
production unit in an under-construction building, poor cleanliness and absence
of arrangements for testing of milk.
PFA Director General Noor-ul-Amin Mengal himself led the
team which inspected the premises of the said company. The Director General
also ordered to shut down the production process of that company till achieving
the standards set by the Authority for milk sector. Moreover, the details
released further said that PFA team sealed a bakery in Harbanspura for not
having a license from the Authority and poor cleanliness and machinery.
