Fashion, Beauty, Art Exhibition and
Empowerment (FABARTE 2017) is the first Micro Exhibition of its kind in
Lagos, Nigeria. which intend to parade different local entrepreneurs in
three sectors; Fashion, Beauty and Art, under four local government /
local development area, namely; Ifako Local Government, Agege Local
Government, Ojokoro Local Council Development Area and Orile Agege Local
Council Development Area and extend to more regions in Nigeria. This is
an innovation aimed at lunching the rural, semi-skilled, unskilled
entrepreneurs; producers, artistes, photographers, sculptors, fashion
designers/Tailors, cosmetologist and beauticians into the waiting world
through this micro-atmosphere. It will also afford these set of people,
the end users, and the manufacturers the avenue to meet and interact
together within the local government in a global concept, as well as
giving these entrepreneurs the opportunity to get informed and trained
by the manufactures on how to make use of their materials and products,
hence, adding more quality, branding, and sophistication to their
products, which in return attracts patronage and further increase income
and boost the economy.
It’s been viewed over decades that local
and unskilled business owners lacks good business acumen, branding and
marketing skills for their businesses which makes it difficult to
attract buyers, even locally. We see the exhibition and empowerment as
an avenue for local entrepreneurs to get informed, trained and further
expose them to ways and global standard in their various businesses. It
is also an event that will promote and enhance business investment
returns for micro and small enterprises especially in our country.
This exhibition also comes with an
empowerment, which we intend to achieve in different forms; registered
entrepreneurs or exhibitors would stand the chance to be trained on
marketing, communication, customer-relations and branding tips, to
enhance good packaging in their products and service delivery.It is also
part of our plans to allow manufacturer - agents meeting during the
exhibitions; registered exhibitors in the clothing, shoes, cosmetology,
tailoring, body care, and photography sector would have the opportunity
to relate directly with manufacturers on the use of their material and
how they can attract more buyers locally, which will also conform with
the government policies of promoting locally produced goods and
services.
Fashion, beauty and art are three
important sectors that attract billions of naira daily and there is need
to inform and promote local producers and operators to the world
through this type of affordable exhibition within their locality, when
avenue like this is available to promote businesses to the outside
world, to it will invariably create more employment and develop the
economy of the state and the country at large.
The driving motivations for participation in this trade exhibition and empowerment is the opportunity to:
- Showcase products or services and reach a target audience;
- Attend to inquiries and disseminate information;
- Identify new potential customers or strengthen relations with the existing ones;
- Establish backward and forward business linkages;
- Identifying agents;
- Negotiate offers which may result in actual orders;
- Develop the relationship network;
- Meet potential partners that can lead to business alliances.
