A technology company has vowed to create 150 jobs in
Drogheda, Co Louth.
Mobile Technologies Inc said it has already started
recruiting for the new roles at its European headquarters in the town.
The technology-based positions are to be filled over the coming
three years.
Mobile Technologies Inc, which is headquartered in Oregon in
the US, specialises in mobile device display technologies.
Founded in 1977, it operates in more than 90 countries
worldwide.
Chris Remy, company president and chief executive, said
Ireland's membership of the EU was among the reasons for locating the jobs in
Drogheda.
"We chose Ireland due to its talented, technology-savvy
workforce, attractive business environment, and its membership in the European
Union," he said.
