The Emirate Council of Kano State has dismissed spending N6
billion of the emirate but admitted to have spent N3.4 billion since Emir
Muhammadu Sanusi II took over office in June 2014.
Addressing a press conference in Kano on Monday, the senior
council official in charge of finance, Bashir Wali, who doubles as the Walin
Kano, told journalists that the emirate had only spent N3.4 billion.
Wali further made some details available on the expenditure
and revealed that the Emir inherited N2.9 billion (exactly N2.895,165,43.77)
and not N4 billion as stated in some media reports.
