Universities in Germany are now free of tuition fees for all
including international students. Yesterday, Lower Saxony became the
last of seven German states to abolish their tuition fees, which were
already extremely low. An increasing number of Americans are
taking advantage and saving tens of thousands of dollars to get their
degrees.
German universities had been charging for tuition since 2006. The
measure proved unpopular, and German states began dropping them one by
one. It is now all gone throughout the country, even for foreigners.
This means that now, both domestic and international undergraduate
students at public universities in Germany are able to study in Germany
for free, with just a small fee to cover administration– usually between
€150 and €250 (US$170-280) – and other living expenses costs per
semester (food, transport, accommodation, entertainment, course
materials and other necessities).

How to Become an Air Traffic Controller in USA
If you're a good problem-solver who also loves aviation,
this might be the perfect career for you. If you've ever traveled by
plane, you know there are no traffic lights or police high in the air to
direct planes in order to avoid mishaps. This is where you'd come in.
Air traffic controllers give pilots clearance for all takeoffs and landings and make sure all aircraft stays a safe distance apart by coordinating the movement of air traffic.
With safety being the primary concern, air traffic controllers must multi-task while making clear and concise decisions. For example, they might be directing one aircraft on its landing approach, while updating another pilot on the latest weather information.
Air traffic controllers work in control towers, approach control facilities or route centers throughout the country, which typically are not located at airports. Each center is assigned an airspace based on geography and altitude in the area in which it is located. At times, this job has the possibility to be stressful since total concentration is always required.
Job duties might include issuing landing and takeoff instructions to pilots and monitoring and directing movement of the aircraft on the ground or in the air using computers, radar or visual references.
In addition, they might control all ground traffic at the airport including baggage vehicles and airport workers and manage all incoming and outgoing communications regarding departing and arriving flights.
Air traffic controllers could also provide information to pilots like weather updates and runway closures and alert the airport staff in the event of an emergency.
The FAA often requires applicants to have a degree from an Air Traffic Collegiate Training Initiative (AT-CTI) school. However, those with only a high school education will need to have years of progressive work experience or a combination of education and experience to qualify.
Necessary skills include decision-making and problem-solving, as well as strong communication, concentration, organizational and math skills.

What Mandela said before he died-Dr Ahmed
"It is better to help a friend pay his fine, than tell a lie to help him cover a crime." - Nigerian proverb.
People had once told Mandela that South Africa will become an alternative beacon of hope and inspiration for the black race and Africa, but he told them it was always going to be Nigeria. Nigeria, Egypt and South Africa can provide a tripod for real change but young Africans need to capture that vision.
Mandela was surprised when he was told I worked at the Nigerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, but had spent 6 months trying to see him to pay my personal respects. Why did you not go through your colleagues here? I told him the visit was not official. I just wanted to meet him. He relaxed and apologized that it had taken that long for me to see him. Others left us, except a lady who sat discreetly away from us. I thought she was a medical person.
The next thing he said which i will not forget is "How are my Nigerian brothers and sisters? He asked me. He will not let me take the initiative.
“YOU know I am not very happy with Nigeria. I have made that very clear on many occasions. Yes, Nigeria stood by us more than any nation, but you let yourselves down, and Africa and the black race very badly. Your leaders have no respect for their people. They believe that their personal interests are the interests of the people. They take people’s resources and turn it into personal wealth. There is a level of poverty in Nigeria that should be unacceptable. I cannot understand why Nigerians are not more angry than they are.
“What do young Nigerians think about your leaders and their country and Africa? Do you teach them history? Do you have lessons on how your past leaders stood by us and gave us large amounts of money? You know I hear from Angolans and Mozambicans and Zimbabweans how your people opened their hearts and their homes to them. I was in prison then, but we know how your leaders punished western companies who supported Apartheid.
“What about the corruption and the crimes? Your elections are like wars. Now we hear that you cannot be president in Nigeria unless you are Muslim or Christian. Some people tell me your country may break up. Please don’t let it happen.
“Let me tell you what I think you need to do. You should encourage leaders to emerge who will not confuse public office with sources of making personal wealth. Corrupt people do not make good leaders. Then you have to spend a lot of your resources for education.
“Educate children of the poor, so that they can get out of poverty. Poverty does not breed confidence. Only confident people can bring changes. Poor, uneducated people can also bring change, but it will be hijacked by the educated and the wealthy...give young Nigerians good education. Teach them the value of hard work and sacrifice, and discourage them from crimes which are destroying your image as a good people.”
As he shook my hand to say goodbye, he apologized again over his comments, but assured me that he would love to see Nigeria grow and develop into a world economic power under a democratic system.

Mozambique:Dhlakama Insists He Will Seize Power in March
Afonso Dhlakama,
leader of Mozambique's former rebel movement Renamo, has claimed that
last week's attempted assassination of the Renamo General Secretary,
Manuel Bissopo, was an attempt to persuade Renamo to abandon its plans
to seize power in six central and northern provinces as from March.
In a long interview
published in the latest issue of the anti-government weekly “Canal de
Mocambique”, Dhlakama declared “all this will finish”, and “Renamo will
govern”. He claimed “I am organizing myself” to seize power in my
target provinces (Manica, Sofala, Tete, Zambezia, Nampula and Niassa).
Without offering any evidence, he claimed that the attack on Bissopo was
the work of the ruling Frelimo Party, and returned to his past
allegations that Frelimo has repeatedly tried to assassinate him. Since
he was now in a bush hideout in the central district of Gorongosa,
“where they know it will not be easy to catch me, they went to shoot
against the person I left dealing with matters, who is the
secretary-general”.

Masturbation Opens Spiritual Portals?
People who cannot control the urge to masturbate or watch pornography
are almost always plagued with a sexual devil. Maybe more than one.
In the world of the spirit and according to Jesus Christ: the sexual thought is the same as the sexual act ( Matthew 5:28 )
When we use the powerful force of imaging something as if it were real, we are actually attracting that which we image into physical being.
When we imagine having sex with another via masturbation, we are actually summoning the power of the spirit realm to manifest the thing we are imagining.
We've all heard about the law of attraction by now, made popular from books and movies like The Secret. Well the law of attraction also works with sexual imaginings.
There are such things as sex demons. And the danger in masturbating is that one could inadvertently summon a sex demon to attach itself to you through the act of masturbating. And once that demon attaches, it is difficult to get it to leave. It will drive you to masturbate, even when you don't want to. You'll be hit with the urges to play with yourself so powerful that only an orgasm will allow you some temporary relief.
In worst case scenarios the one demon may gather other unclean spirits to itself to also attach to your life. That way it can wrap you tighter in its web of control, making it that much more difficult for you to get free. And many never do. ( Matthew 12:43-45 ).
By engaging in those acts of sexual impurity you are giving such evil spirits legal access into your life. And they will remain, causing untold personal pain, guilt and shame until the more powerful force of Jesus Christ is used against them to expel them from your life for good-See: Luke 8:29, Luke 9:39 and verse 42; Galatians 5:19-21; 2nd Corinthians 6:17-18.

Women Protest In Ghana over.....!
Women in Ghana are protesting that their drunkard husbands are unable to
sire children and they may look elsewhere for sober bedmates. They said
their men have abandoned their homes because of drinking too much
illicit brew.
Speaking during a peaceful protest at a shopping centre, the demonstrators said younger women are the worst affected as they are “unproductive”. “If you walk in this village, you will find so many young married women, but only a few are pregnant. Those who are not are suffering in silence because their men cannot perform,” resident Nancy koffi said. She said men have been drinking anything alcoholic to keep them high, but society bears the consequences of sexual dysfunction.

health benefits of Coconut Oil
While the health benefits of coconut are often documented within the
nutrition community, coconut oil is quite beneficial in promoting
healthy hair and skin.
Look at these facts:
1. Evolving into a creamy liquid when heated to 76 degrees, coconut oil can be used as an ideal hair treatment. By simply taking a jar of coconut oil, placing it under the warm water of your shower and allowing it to melt, the oil becomes usable for this particular benefit.
In respect to application, you’re encouraged to apply an ample amount of oil to wet hair after shampooing and then blend the oil into your hair. By allowing the oil to sit for five minutes and then promptly rinsing, it will serve to increase the moisture in your hair while also improve natural shine.
2. If you’re looking to add a natural and fresh scent to your skin, coconut oil, courtesy of its smooth texture, is an ideal moisturizer. Simply apply a palm-sized amount of oil to your hands upon exiting the shower and rub into your skin.
3. Are the traditional mass-produced lip balms no longer doing the job? If you’re searching from something new, go the natural route and try coconut oil.
As a do it yourself (DIY) method, try adding some coconut oil to an unused contact lens holder complete with a screw cap. Designed for portability, simply dab your finger on the top layer of the oil and apply it in virtually the same fashion you would any other form of lip protectant.
4. Life is a daily grind and our hands and nails typically pay the price. Using coconut oil as a cuticle softener can do wonders for your nails in terms of appearance and feel.
Utilizing the DIY lip balm creation noted in the prior beauty benefit, swipe a small amount of coconut oil on the pad of your finger and apply to each cuticle on the opposite hand. The oil can serve to hydrate and strengthen your nails while helping to remove rough areas.
5. Although under eye wrinkles and sagging are common traits of the natural aging process, coconut oil can help you fight the hands of time.
Essentially doing the same job as expensive creams and gels, coconut oil can reduce the appearance of dark circles, rid your eyes of puffiness, and reduce wrinkles. In respect to application, simply use a small amount, a pinch to be exact, and apply the oil to your under-eye area until fully absorbed.

5 Cancer Symptoms you must not Ignore
While some symptoms of cancer can be rather obvious and deeply
concerning, other symptoms can be much less noticeable and alarming.
Listed in this article are nine cancer symptoms that people often
ignore.
Chronic Fatigue:Although general fatigue is commonly associated with the daily grind of life, extreme fatigue that doesn’t seem to go away can potentially be a cause for great concern.According to the American Cancer Society, chronic fatigue, or fatigue that can’t be remedied by sleep, can be a sign of leukemia, colon cancer, or cancer of the stomach.
Unexplained Weight Loss:Similar to chronic fatigue, unexplained weight loss can be a serious yet often ignored symptom of cancer. If you lead a rather active lifestyle, the concept of losing weight without the means of a drastic diet plan probably won’t resonate with you in terms of a legitimate concern. However, that line of thinking can often play a major role as to why this particular symptom has the distinction of being ignored. If you’re losing weight, even though you’ve maintained your daily living routine, you could be in the early stages of any number of cancers.
Pain:While pain can occur due to a variety of reasons, many of which are not serious, long-lasting pain and/or pain that doesn’t go away with the help of basic medication(s) can be a symptom of cancer.
Lumps Under The Skin:While lumps under the skin are often associated with breast or testicular cancer, lumps can occur in virtually any soft tissue area of the body regardless of gender. If you detect the presence of a lump or mass under your skin, your best plan of action is to take action. Discovering a mass in its earliest stage could very well be the key to your physical well-being in the long term.consult your doctor as soon as possible.
Swollen Foot:In respect to common cancer symptoms ignored by women, the presence of a swollen foot or leg could potentially be a cause for concern.According to the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, swelling in these areas, while accompanied with pain and/or vaginal discharge, could be a sign of cervical cancer.

France to recognize Palestine if ...!
France will recognize a Palestinian state if its efforts in coming weeks
to try to break the deadlock between Israelis and Palestinians fail,
Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius said on Saturday.
"France will engage in the coming weeks in the preparation of an international conference bringing together the parties and their main partners, American, European, Arab, notably to preserve and make happen the solution of two states," he said.
Fabius said that as a permanent member of the UN Security Council, France had a responsibility to try to keep up efforts to find a two-state solution between Israel and the Palestinians.

Circuit City is coming back from the dead
Circuit City, the defunct electronics chain everyone misses, is making a comeback.
The big-box store filed for bankruptcy in 2008 and closed all of its stores a year later, but thanks to retail veterans Ronny Shmoel and Albert Liniado, the chain is coming back from the dead in the coming months, according to reports.
“The name really resonates very well with everybody. It's been out of the negative press for a while already," Shmoel tells reporters. "We did some polls and found that the age groups between 25-35 know the brand."
Shmoel, the new CEO of the company, bought the assets for Circuit City from Systemax last October for somewhere in the ballpark of $17 million.
The plan is for Circuit City to have a massive online presence, like that of a successful electronic chain such as Best Buy, but have drastically different physical stores from its heydays in the 1990s.
Circuit City will get with the times. It will own smaller brick-and-mortar stores, to cut back on the costs of running them, and sell products mostly geared towards millennials.
Apple iPads, Playstation 4s and BLU-rays will replace former Circuit City staples like clunky Compaq computers, Ataris and VHS tapes.

Torrential Rain Causes Second Oregon Sinkhole
A road in Oregon has crumbled away after a huge sinkhole opened up on the other side of the road where a sinkhole appeared last month, according to police.
The initial sinkhole happened in December in the parking lot of the Fireside Diner in Harbor, Oregon, after torrential rain.
On Friday, the ground became unstable after storms battered the local area. A section of Shopping Center Avenue - parallel to Highway 101 - began to slip away, according to Jared Castle, a spokesman for the Oregon Department of Transportation

The Yorubas are sons and daughters of Ephraim
Dear readers and viewers, somebody who reads and follows the blog sent me this article and the website and i am bewildered.i wouldn't mind if you share this article on your pages on facebook and twitter.
The honest truth is that Yorubas just like Igbos are sons of Ephraim.
Look at these short info:
As stated in my books regarding the Igbos, the father of the Yoruba people, Oduduwa traveled with Gad’s sons, Eri, Areli and Arodi from North Africa, likely Egypt and settled in what today is known as Nigeria. This would coincide with Yoruba oral history that they believe to come from outside of West Africa and thus it would be no surprise that we might find Israelites, Hebrews and Jews among the Yoruba.
Oduduwa was said to be a descendant of Hamm, through Nimrod, also called Lamurudu, this according to Yoruba Christian Samuel Johnson in 1880. Sultan Bello, Caliph of Sokoto was quoted in 1820 by Hugh Clapperton to have said that the Yoruba people were descendants of a Canaanite tribe. And S.O. Obiaku a Nigerian Historian claimed the Yoruba’s to originate from the Sudan or what was known as Cush/Kush (Ethiopia).
However, some say “Yoruba” is a corruption of the name “Jacob” or in Hebrew, “Yacob.” Others assert that Yoruba is from “Yerubbaal,” the “People of Baal.”
But the current Yoruba Jewish population who claim to come from the Israeli tribe of Ephraim was said to have been driven to Yorubaland from Morocco by Muslims and eventually mingled with Yoruba people. These black Jews in southern Nigeria are called the "Emo Yo Quaim", or "Strange People", by the native Africans, but these black Jews call themselves, "B'nai Ephraim" or "Sons of Ephraim". These Jews who claim that their ancestors came from Morocco is supported by their language which appears to be a mixture of Maghrebi Arabic and local Negro speech. Thus abu ("father") has become Yaaba, from the Hebrew word “Abba” and “Umm” ("mother") is “Em” from the Hebrew, "Ima". Nevertheless, most of their language is similar to the Yoruba’s around them.
These Yoruba, “Sons of Ephraim” observe certain Jewish customs, among which are the great holy days, naming of children on the 8th day, etc. In almost every way, these black Jews are like the Yorubas, and are hardly distinguishable from them, except for some outstanding Hebrew observances.
There is a clan among the Yoruba People called the "Ijeeu," or "Ijebu" which is believed to be a corruption of the word “Hebrew” or “Jew.” They are looked down upon by the rest of the Yoruba for displaying Igbo-like character and traits, one of which is business prowess. There is even a town in Yoruba land called, "Ijuee-Igbo." Much if the Ijeeu people resent and deny this connection with them and Ndi Igbo,so both the yorubas and Igbos are brothers.

Yorubas and the neighbouring nationalities located in Nigeria have this oral tradition of an origin extraneous to West Africa.
Hugh Clapperton in 1820s reported a work by Sultan Bello, the Caliph of the Sokoto Caliphate, where he asserted that the Yorubas were descended from Canaanite tribe from Palestine.
Around the 1880s Samuel Johnson a Yoruba christian also wrote a book that made similar claims for Yoruba origins as Sultan Bello’s. In 1880, Johson naively sent this work to the Church Missionary Society in England for review and publication.
The Church Missionary Society suppressed the manuscript upon realizing the explosive information it contained. The Society declared the book lost. It was not until 1923 that Johson’s brother was able to publish an edited copy of this work. Johnson’s thesis was that the Yorubas were descended from Lamurudu (Nimrod) the first King of Mesopotamia. Johnson died in 1901.
1955 S.O. Obiaku, a Nigerian historian and scholar claimed a Meroite origin (Sudan/ancient Ethiopia-Kush) for the Yorubas. Emmanuel Uguhulu another respected Nigerian scholar claimed a Hebrew origin for the Esan tribe. Esan is part of the greater Edo nation, which is related to the Yoruba nation of Nigeria.
Efik traditions claim that the Efiks originated in Palestine, crossed the Sahara and arrived Nigeria via Sudan. The Efiks are located in the south-eastern corner of Nigeria.
Iberian Jews of Yoruba Nationality
The Bnai Ephraim (“Children of Ephraim”) from Nigeria, live among the Yoruba nationalities. Their oral history tells that the Bnai Ephraim people came from Morocco after the Jews were banished from the Iberian Pennisula sometime after 1492.
They speak a dialect that is a mixture of Moroccan Arabic, Yoruba, and Aramaic. They are known by the Yoruba people as the “Emo Yo Quaim”, or “strange people”. Unlike other African Israelite communities in Nigeria, the Bnai Ephraim have the Torah, portions of which they keep in their sanctuaries.
The name Lagos borne by the former capital of Nigeria is a Portugese/Iberian name meaning the lake. Lagos is an Island carved up by lagoons, swamps and lakes. Its traditional Nigerian name is Eko.

Ancient Babylonians 'first to use geometry'
Research shows that the Ancient Babylonians were using geometrical calculations to track Jupiter across the night sky.
Previously, the origins of this technique had been traced to the 14th Century.
The new study is published in Science.
Its author, Prof Mathieu Ossendrijver, from the Humboldt University of Berlin, Germany, said: "I wasn't expecting this. It is completely fundamental to physics, and all branches of science use this method."
Stargazers
The Ancient Babylonians once lived in what is now Iraq and Syria. The civilisation emerged in about 1,800 BC.
Clay tablets engraved with their Cuneiform writing system have already shown these people were advanced in astronomy.
"They wrote reports about what they saw in the sky," Prof Ossendrijver told the BBC World Service's Science in Action programme.
"And they did this over a very long period of time, over centuries."

5 Common Habits of Unhappy People
Circumstances can certainly make life unhappy. But a part – often a
big part – of unhappiness comes from our own thinking, behavior and
habits.
In this article I’d like to share 7 of the most destructive daily habits that can create quite a bit of unhappiness within and in your own little world.
But I’ll also share what has worked, what has helped me to minimize or overcome these habits in my life.
1. Aiming for perfection.
Does life has to be perfect before you are happy?
Do you have to behave in a perfect way and get perfect results to be happy?
Then happiness will not be easy to find. Setting the bar for your performance at an inhuman level usually leads to low self-esteem and feeling like you are not good enough even though you may have had a lot of good or excellent results. You and what you do is never enough good enough except maybe once in a while when feels like something goes just perfect.
How to overcome this habit:
Realize what it costs you when you buy into myths of perfection. This was a very powerful reason for me to let go of perfectionism and one I tell myself still if I find thoughts of perfection pop up in my mind. By watching too many movies, listening to too many songs and just taking in what the world is telling you it is very easy to be lulled into dreams of perfection. It sounds so good and wonderful and you want it.
But in real life it clashes with reality and tends to cause much suffering and stress within you and in the people around you.
2. Living in a sea of negative voices.
No one is an island. Who we socialize with, what we read, watch and listen to has big effect on how we feel and think.
It becomes a lot harder to be happier if you let yourself be dragged down by negative voices. Voices that tell you that life will in large part always be unhappy, dangerous and filled with fear and limits. Voices that watch life from a negative perspective.
How to overcome this habit:
Replacing those negative voices with more positive influences is very powerful. It can be like a whole new world opening up.
So spend more time with positive people, inspiring music and books, movies and TV-shows that make you laugh and think about life in a new way.
3. Getting stuck in the past and future too much.
Spending much of your time in the past and reliving old painful memories, conflicts, missed opportunities and so on can hurt whole lot. Spending much of your time in the future and imagining how things could go wrong at work, in your relationships and with your health can build into horrifying nightmare scenarios playing over and over in your head. Not being here right now in life as it happens can lead to missing out on a lot of wonderful experiences.
No good if you want to be happier.
How to overcome this habit:
It is pretty much impossible to not think about the past or the future. And it is of course important to plan for tomorrow and next year and to try to learn from your past.
But to dwell on those things rarely help.
So I try as best as I can to spend the rest of my time, the big part of my time each day, with living in the now. Just being here right now and being fully focused on these words I am writing and later as I cook and eat my lunch and work out be fully focused on doing that.
4. Comparing yourself and your life to others and their lives.
One very common and destructive daily habit is to constantly compare your life and yourself to other people and their lives. You compare cars, houses, jobs, shoes, money, relationships, social popularity and so on. And at the end of the day you pummel your self-esteem to the ground and you create a lot of negative feelings.
How to overcome this habit:
First, instead of comparing yourself to other people create the habit of comparing yourself to yourself. See how much you have grown, what you have achieved and what progress you have made towards your goals. This habit has the benefit of creating gratitude, appreciation and kindness towards yourself as you observe how far you have come, the obstacles you have overcome and the good stuff you have done.
5. Over complicating life.
Life can be pretty complicated. This can creates stress and unhappiness. But much of this is often created by us. Yes, the world may be becoming more complex but that doesn’t mean that we cannot create new habits that make your own lives a bit simpler.
How to overcome this habit:
Over complicating life can involve many habits but I’d like to suggest a few replacement habits to what have been a couple of my own most over complicating habits.

Real Madrid tells Arsenal:You can have him for 25m
Arsenal have been told to pay Real Madrid £25 million if they wish to sign Spain international midfielder Isco this month.
Although Manchester City have long appreciated the former Malaga man, El Confidencial report that it is the Gunners who will be allowed to prise him away from the Santiago Bernabeu if they stump up his price tag.
Isco has endured a difficult campaign in Spain, struggling for regular game time, and it is believed that Madrid would be willing to sell him despite their looming transfer ban, with Arsene Wenger privately encouraged to make a move.
Meanwhile, Arsenal have been given a boost by the early return from injury of Francis Coquelin, which could affect their thinking regarding a move for attacking midfielder Isco.

BREAKING News: Supreme Court Upholds Wike’s Victory
The Supreme Court today upheld the victory of the
governor of River State,Nigeria, Mr. Nyesom Wike. This judgement overruled the
initial judgement of the Appeal Court which upheld the nullification of
his election by the Election Petition Tribunal.
Governor Wike had filed twenty grounds of appeal to the Supreme Court, alleging that the election tribunal relied on hearsay and inadmissible evidence to arrive at its judgment.
According to Governor Nyesom Wike, Tribunal had wrongly refused to follow the decision in Agbaje versus Ambode, which held that the use or non-use of card reader cannot be a ground for questioning or nullifying an election.
The Supreme Court also grant Governor Wike request asking the apex court to hold that the findings and conclusions of the Election Tribunal were perverse and not supported by any legally admissible evidence on record.

Brazil Fights Mosquitoes to Quell Olympians’ Zika Fears
Health officials are seeking to allay fears of tourists and athletes
coming to Rio for this year’s Olympics by intensifying their efforts to
tame a triple epidemic of mosquito-borne diseases, including the Zika virus linked to thousands of cases of infant brain damage.
State health officials over the weekend said they would increase the frequency of inspections of possible mosquito-breeding grounds at Olympic venues in the months leading up to the Games, which run from Aug. 5 to 21, and would conduct daily inspections during the event. If necessary, they said, they would fumigate Olympics sites before the Games.
Organizers are also counting on cooler weather and less rain in August, a winter month in the Southern Hemisphere, to curb mosquito activity.

Japan’s Economy Minister Resign Over Scandal
Akira Amari
Japanese Economy Minister Akira Amari, a close ally of Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, said Thursday he would resign to take responsibility for a political-funds scandal.
Mr. Amari was Japan’s top negotiator in the Trans-Pacific Partnership trade talks, a U.S led trade agreement among 12 Pacific nations.
His resignation is a blow to Mr. Abe, though not a severe one. It comes as Japan sputtering econiomy faces global headwinds emanating from China, sending the Japanese stock market tumbling.
The unfolding scandal, which involved accusations of bribery, threatened to damage the popularity of Mr. Abe’s government ahead of an upper-house election this summer.
Mr. Amari said he was resigning to avoid harming Mr. Abe’s economic revitalization program and to ensure the budget for the fiscal year beginning April 1 would be passed by Parliament without undue delay.

Ukraine's healthcare ministry announces flu epidemic
"The epidemic threshold is exceeded in 18 regions of Ukraine, furthermore in 11 regions the epidemic threshold is exceeded by 50%," Ukraine's Healthcare Minister Oleksandr Kvitashvili said at a press conference in Kyiv on Tuesday, January 26.
According to Kivitashvili, the total number of people, who were infected with flu this season is 2.6 million.
Alongside the usual flu strains that circulate seasonally, this year Ukraine is battling the outbreak of the deadly H1N1 virus, known also as swine flu. Medics say it is more dangerous, and carries a higher risk of complications that can develop very quickly in comparison to other strains.
Russia will not discuss return of Crimea - Lavrov
Russia refuses to hold any talks on returning Crimea to Ukraine, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Wednesday to reporters.
"We have nothing to give back. We are not holding any talks with anyone on returning Crimea," Lavrov told his annual news conference.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov
"Crimea is the territory of the Russian Federation in full accordance with the expression of the will of its peoples, all of them, including those who enjoyed no rights under Ukrainian authority, and who attained the rights including national language when Crimea returned to Russia," he added.

Buhari wants to repeat what the Russians did to Poland in WW II -Tompolo
Niger Delta Secuity Watch Organisation
of Nigeria, NSWON and Ijaw People’s Development Initiative, IPDI, in a
joint statement by their leaders, Dickson Bekederemo and Austin Ozobo,
said: “The people of Niger Delta and the ljaw in particular are not at
war with President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration. However, the ljaw
will never sacrifice their bravest to satisfy the quest for neo-colonialism. When the moment comes, we shall stand with Tompolo.
“We believe that what the Federal
Government wants to do is a repeat of what the Russians did to Poland
during World War II, kill the bravest of their braves, the rest is
history. We wish to inform President Buhari that in the hearts and minds
of every Niger Deltan lies an embryonic Tompolo waiting to hatch.
“We call on President Buhari not to be
deceived by a few pipelines surveillance contract seekers. There was
Judea, yet Christ resurrected from the dead. There were traitors, yet
Allah protected Prophet Mohammed in the cave with a cob web when people
led his enemies to capture him.
“It may interest you to know that
Tompolo is a strong member of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, even in
defeat. Unlike some elements of the party from our region that are bread
and butter members. Tompolo alleged that the APC- led government
persuaded him to decamp to its fold. The party until date, did not
refute his assertion.
“Suddenly, the EFCC froze the bank
account of Global West Vessels Limited. The management of the company
initiated an action against EFCC in court. The agency bluntly refused to
file a defence, only for the agency to file charges against him in
another Federal High Court.
“The question we will like to ask is: Is
Tompolo the chief executive or the Managing Director of Global West
Vessels Limited? Assuming, for the purpose of argument, that Global
Vessels Limited committed financial crime, is Tompolo the alter ego of
the company? The EFCC invitation and subsequent harassment and
persecution of Tompolo goes beyond what meets the eye.”
Lagos bans parties, social functions in public schools
The Lagos State Government on Tuesday said it would no longer allow
social functions and parties in public schools just as owners of private
schools across the state have been warned to comply with rules and
regulations guiding their operations.
The Deputy Governor of the State, Idiat Adebule, who disclosed this while briefing the media on the strategic focus of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode’s administration on education for 2016, said the governor had directed that schools should no longer be used for social functions.
Mrs. Adebule said, “The Governor has directed that schools will no longer be used for social activities any longer. We want to implore members of the public to report any school that violates this directive and we would ensure that defaulting schools are sanctioned accordingly.”

Eleven good reasons to live in Spain
January 18th is blue Monday, officially the most depressing day
of the year. But there are many reasons to be happy if you're living in
Spain.Leave wherever you are come come live in Spain..
The diet
Research has shown that specific nutrients – such as Omega 3, found in oily fish – can contribute to making you happier. Lucky then, that the Mediterranean diet is full of just that food, as well as healthy fruit and vegetables and lashings of heart-healthy olive oil.
The weather
We’ve all heard of Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) – the condition that makes people feel more depressed during the winter months that are full of rainy days and early, dark nights. But luckily, in much of Spain, the sun keeps shining throughout the winter months, meaning you will get your daily dose of vitamin D.
The mentality
Some of the best self-help gurus say that one of the keys to happiness is not prizing fame, money and power, and being grateful for what you have. Spaniards have this pretty much sussed – they appreciate the small things and are great at living in the moment, enjoying simple pleasures like a morning coffee or a long lunch with friends.
Family
Devoting time to family is one of the keys to happiness according to many psychologists, and Spaniards do this without even thinking. Spain is a sociable society, one in which grandparents are rarely carted off to an old people’s home, but become the cherished head of the family, often living and socializing with their younger relatives.
The same goes for family members at the other end of the family tree- Spainards love children, who are welcome in every restaurant and bar and always made a fuss of - a new mother in Spain can't walk two minutes down the street without being stopped by interested strangers who want to coo over her new tot.
The food
Four of the top ten restaurants in Europe are Spanish and Spaniards, whatever their budget, adore food and the ritual that surrounds it. You don’t have to fork out a fortune to eat like a king in Spain, where fresh produce is bountiful and the most amazing food invention (tapas!) means you can try multiple morsels in one evening. And if you love ham, there is no greater place on earth.
Best place for mums
A recent survey revealed that Spain is one of the best places in the world to be a mum; it is so good in fact that children never want to leave home - well, until at least the age of 30.
Highest live expectancy
Whether down to the Mediterranean diet rich in olive oil, fish and fresh vegetables, the excellent healthcare or the sociable society, Spaniards have the highest life expectancy in Europe. Live here for a while and hopefully you’ll pick up some of their healthy habits.
Culture
"The purpose of art is washing the dust of daily life off our souls." So said Picasso, and Spaniards couldn’t agree more. Spain is home to one of the richest art heritages in the world, as well as some of the most impressive architecture: from Gaudi’s many masterpieces in Barcelona the Frank Gehry-designed Guggenheim in Bilbao.
Exercise
Exercise is one of the keys to staying happy and Spain is a great place to get back to nature and enjoy the outdoors. The weather is great, so Spain is the perfect place for jogging, cycling or just taking a stroll. And with such a huge coastline, there is plenty in the way of watersports to enjoy. And for the risk-takers out there, it is also home to some incredible extreme ports.
Get outside
It is scientifically proven that being outdoors makes people happier. Spaniards are not generally ones to hibernate through the winter, the good weather means that even in the colder months, most Spaniards prefer to be outside socializing than cooped up indoors.
Party
Spain has some of the biggest, wildest and wackiest festivals in the world from city-wide celebrations to the annual fiesta in each and every little town around the country. From gay pride to Seville's FerÃa de Abril and the huge Holy Week celebrations - whatever you are into, there will be a Spanish festival for you.
