Texts : psalm 63 : 1- 11, psalm 118: 24
If God did not switch on your line of life when you sleep,
you are a gunner, you can't wake up, you are dead. Hence, there are the
scriptural ways to start your day. It is unscriptural, carnal and disrespectful
to God on our part to wake up early in the morning and the next thing we do is
to reach out to our communication devices i.e laptop, phone, television, radio
etc to engage ourselves with other flesh not God. It has now become a norm,
pattern, usual way of life on the part of a lot of people to stay awake or wake
up engaging themselves with the social media: Facebook, whatsaap , Twitter,
blogg, u-tube, etc without first thanking God for the gift of life and the
privilege of seeing another day. There is nothing really wrong in making or
engaging oneself with the social media, depending on why you are there, how you
make use of it, making use of it with discretion, not allowing it to become a
distraction in your fellowship with God nor an idol.
10 Things you must do & say after you wake up each day.
i. Thank you Jesus.
ii. Thank you Lord, giver of life, for the gift of life.
iii.Thank you Lord for annother day.
iv.This is the day that the lord has made,I will rejoice
& be glad in it.
v.Raising your voice in thanksgiving to the lord in praise,
making melody in your heart, singing hymns & spiritual songs to the lord.
vi.Meditating in his word on your bed as you wake up.
vii.Making prayers to the lord.
viii.Reading & studying the Bible
iv.Being quite before the lord to give us the direction for
the day.
X. Receiving strength from God to run the day successfully
well.
Is about time, God took his rightful place in our lives and
restoring ourselves from what the social media has taken away from us in our
relationship with God. Only then, can God make your use of social media
profitable to you and a blessing to others ' cos your inputs & outputs are
born out your dealings & relationship with God.
